aKor,is the artist’s name of José Mª Roca Bazán, an musician and DJ living in Tossa de Mar, a village in the Costa Brava, North Eastern Spain.
His admiration for groups like Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Nietzereb, Front 242, lead him to his interest in music and DJ world since very young.
His beginning were in local discos, that leading the way towards national and international discos’. The musical genre which Djosepi started his career with was influenced by Funky, Italo-Disco, House Sound of Chicago, New Beat, Acid, House and Techno.
At the same time, and during 3 years, he was a member of a local music group, in which he played the drums and broadened his musical horizons.
After a long break in his musical trajectory, he decided to create and produce his own music. In order to do that, during 2009 and 2010 he studied in the Studiotech Academy of Girona, with a professor of international prestige, Álex del Amo. In there, he learned production techniques for electronic music.
He first decided to produce music that was influenced by his favourite groups from youth, but in the end, his productions lean more on the Techouse, Techno, Minimal, House and House Progressive line.
