Giulia Fournier-Mercadante (GiGi FM) is a multi-disciplinary artist, DJ, resident of NTS Radio, dancer and music producer. Boldly versatile, GiGi FM’s selections have charmed bodies on dancefloors all across the world, such as Berghain, Rural Japan, Draaimolen, Fabric, De School, Primavera, The Bunker New York, and Sustain Release. In the booth her genre-defying spirit is in full effect with techno, bass, breaks and ambient all coming in to play.

Deeply influenced by astrology, philosophy and the cosmos; for GiGi, music is both a tool for expression and introspection. As a multi- hyphenate artist, she continues on her quest to push artistic boundaries and hold space for unique audience experiences. Whatever medium she may adopt, the result is a rich embodiment of the interconnectedness of sound, colour, movement and metaphysics.

MNMT 410 : GiGi FM

The closing set at the Varden stage is always a special time; Filled with excitement, tears, hugs, and exhaustion, it marks the end of four incredible days at Monument Festival.

This year Japanese maestro Wata Igarashi stepped up and delivered a legendary closing set. A psychedelic vortex of sound thundered across the forest as the dance floor was illuminated in radiant colors and fog, with smiling faces and dancing bodies all around. 

So find your best headphones or sit down in front of your speakers, turn it up, and time travel back to the Forgotten Valley. Guided by our friend, Wata Igarashi. Enjoy.

First playing in rock bands, HAYLA began singing and writing for electronic dance artists, landing collaborations with acts like deadmau5, Kaskade, John Summit, Kygo and Sub Focus. Now, with the release of her debut solo album, ‘DUSK,’ HAYLA tells the story of how she’s used SoundCloud’s features — like private tracks, direct messaging, playlists and fan exclusives — to build community and elevate her craft.
