I thought i'd title this mix after a book title, and the four topics it covers, which inspire me most.

The Quadrivium—the classical curriculum—comprises the four liberal arts of number, geometry, music, and cosmology. It was studied from antiquity to the Renaissance as a way of glimpsing the nature of reality. Geometry is number in space; music is number in time; and cosmology expresses number in space and time. Number, music, and geometry are metaphysical truths: life across the universe investigates them; they foreshadow the physical sciences.

An abandoned oil rig stands in for the garden of Eden. A garden is a walled space with vegetation. It contains encrypted knowledge of good and evil. 777 terabytes of data contained in a single gram of DNA. Wiping a tear off your cheek. Salty.

Like all people, they contained multitudes. Like all situations, this was several situations at once. sometimes I looked away and ate peanuts and drank Club Mate. Sometimes I thought about what time it was. Then I was on the verge of tears. Then I laughed a lot.

Nothing less than a 1000 years old.

Summer of Haze likes to hide his face from the public with a Tambov "bandit's" bandanna. A similarly confrontational stance is taken towards modern society, albeit with a dash of irony. Summer of Haze is the electronic music producer from Tambov, Russia. Tracks by this anonymous project, named after the American porn star, have been posted and published all over russian social nerworks by thousands of fans at the speed of light. Fans and journalists call him ''the lord of witch house", although the producer himself prefers his own genre definition: weedwave. Summer of Haze performances attract packed clubs across Russia, he is one of the most sought-after artists of Hyperboloid Records. Recently he starred in the Boiler Room x Adidas Originals documentary about Hyperboloid Records and cutting edge music scenes in Russia, played his first Boiler room set, toured all over Russia and China, currently on tour in EU

Blastto's life has always been linked to club culture and electronic music. In his case literally: his father was the manager of a club in Guadalajara, where, from very early on, Blastto could be found behind the decks. For the last five years he has lived in London, a city from where he curates the Total Trax platform, carefully labeled with the aesthetics of video games of the 90's and music heavily influenced by rave, gabber and trance, especially clear in his own productions. A producer and restless activist, Blastto has also released on other platforms of note such as Nightwaves' Heka Trax and is also co-founder of Brrrrrap, a collective that was born from the union of several blogs, resulting in an event that has hosted Mumdance, Teki Latex or L-Vis 1990, among others. His most recent EP Las Palomas has received the support of scene agitators such as Lorenzo Senni and Danny L Harle, and reflects the golden age of clubs in Spain in the 90's and 2000's - a moment that marked Blastto uniquely and which he has reinterpreted with a totally avant-garde and very personal style.
