Fairly recent  excursion through dub influenced terrain without the use of traditional Jamaican inspiration.  Written produced at Gehenna Studios over several days using Fruityloops.

Blaxter - Detox (roughmix#4)

This is my own remake of an old song I wrote for a band that evolved from  a high school rock band and reformed with a new drummer when everyone was doing the Uni lifestyle in a bigger city. Will work on this a bit more now I've got a decent tube preamp and can play guitar instead of step writing with MIDI plug-ins.

Inspired by the one thing that takes so much of time away from writing music.
There's some irony in there but I can't be bothered explaining it.
Taking time off work usually requires a med cert but a stat dec is quite sufficient.
Have been lucky enough to license this track for an on-line promotion.

Blaxter is the artistic genius behind a plethora of recordings, performance and installation projects in Melbourne. Defying categorisation and financial advice in order to create sound art individually and with collectives as a performer, DJ, recording engineer and produce who has pioneered unique performance techniques incorporating traditional instruments with electronic composition style transcending any definition based on adjectival discourse by simply naming the sounds. Whilst loathe to use words like Squelch or any other hipster terms, any attempt to classify musical movements within the shifting sands of genre diversification is pretentious. As one genre dies another rises to replace the overused words to elicit hype within elitist collectives of the priviliged participants. The glitchy synth squeeks will not be Squelched.. Nor will they resonate with the trees after the dread locked campers have gone home to their middle class houses. 
Hand over your unused Samplers and remain safe in the knowledge that the pretty people will love the small collection of stupid noises everytime you re-use them and make up a new new song title. The performing artist previously named EVOL doesn't have a record contract to dictate how the business of making music will be conducted.
