Helping me Draw The Line this week with her mix in the second hour it’s Sandra Sundelin aka Sundelin a Swedish-born, Melbourne-based electronic artist, writer, event host, and DJ. Her stylistic focus lies within heavily groovy techno, tech house, and minimal. Her soulful yet tough musical style is replete with chugging and pulsating basslines, dark, heavy tech influences, infectious shifting rhythms, and upbeat fun melodies.

Friday 4th Feb was a really big day for me, because it saw the release of my 'LAS CINCO MUERTES EP' on the legendary @CorruptSystems UK techno label.

I have to confess that I absolutely love Hardgroove - in fact, I am completely obsessed with it and I always have been...since before it was even called 'hardgroove'....!!

I recently saw that people were saying it's not as popular any more, "since its peak in 2008", which I thought was hilarious...!? That is clearly complete crap and who gives a sh*t about 'popular' anyway...!!?

It's quite a broad genre, but the amazing thing about it is that, no matter what style you pick, it all goes together beautifully. Having said that the wobbly basslines and thumping kicks can make it a bit tricky to mix...as you will hear...🥴

This set is the first in a series celebrating this awesome genre - tracks from all the legends of Hardgroove...Maxx Rossi, David Moleon, The Geezer, Goncalo M, Lilson, DJ Gumja, Fuma Funaky...and several others...oh, and a few demos from me too.....!!
