Right after today's recording session before packing the gear, I decided to put Sutekh Hexen's record "Breed in me the darkness" (featuring mixes by Andrew Liles), but thanks to a badly adjusted head the record player gave me a series of mind blowing loops which got even more interesting once I had routed them through my OWL.

"BH-97 - Frozen In Time III: Music to Accompany the Films of Ingmar Bergman 3xC40 compilation

A third edition of the compilation to enjoy in time with the given films of Ingmar Bergman. The artists involved include; Common Eider, King Eider, Jute Gyte, Victor Eremita, Æther, Kevin Gan Yuen, and Thoabath doing soundtracks / dedications to Winter Light from the first three artists, followed by Through A Glass Darkly, The Magician, and Fanny And Alexander from the last three, respectively. Each artist with a 20 minute contribution. As with the first and second editions, all submissions are bleak and dark affairs, yet with stylistic variations typical of the Black Horizons line-up. Packaged in an all clear 3-up norelco case, the large 4-panel j-card is with silver offset printing on black linen paper. Black tapes and silver labels. Edition of 200 copies."

The Jute Gyte Track from BH-114 - Jute Gyte / Spectral Lore "Helian" split C40

Jute Gyte, the project of Adam Kalmbach who has recently relocated to the PNW, returns with new deranged microtonal black metal ferocity as only he can, this time in C40 split form once again, with Greece's Spectral Lore. The long running solo project of Ayloss, who conjures a hellish din of gutteral, ambient black metal, that, like the artist he shares this split with, leans towards a long-winded, winding and progressive sound. Both artists use Georg Trakl's poem, "Helian", as lyrical fodder. An epic, expressive meditation on passage and death. Four panel j-cards with silver and red offset on black linen paper.
