Airing on New York's MyHouse Radio FM on Monday 24th August 2020, Black Light Disco welcomed back residents without president - Pookie Knights. In another fantastic two hours of music the lads brought in fellow Wrexham native and stellar DJ, Nick Jones for his debut on the show.

As you would expect from these two young talented maestros, the first hour flies by in a whirl of choice cuts from some of the biggest hitters on the disco scene - which now includes them! Topping their hour is their new release '2 Late' which is sure to fly up the download charts in the coming weeks. 

For the second hour, Nick dazzled us with a set of pure quality grooves. Nick's selections are on point right the way through, each one expertly crafted into a bigger tapestry of smooth transitions and gear changes.

I've been absorbed in music since the early 80's listening to electro, soul, Chicago house etc. Discovered funk and disco in the early 90's when away at Uni and have spent the past 20 + years buying back into this amazing music genre. Don't get the time to play out much nowadays but I have DJ'ed at Funkademia in Manchester a few times over the past year or two which is always a top night and great place to play! The older I get the more I seem to appreciate not only the music I have collected, but all of the hidden gems I am discovering through edits posted on either Soundcloud or new releases from one of the many talented producers/ editors currently in the Disco Scene. Big fan of labels such as Disco Deviance, Editorial, Midnight Riot, Editors Kutz, Razor N Tape, Whiskey Disco, Chopshop, Hot Digits etc. In my mixes I try to blend the records as subtly as possible and be respectful to what has already been created.  



The Black Light Disco show airs exclusively on the #1 house music station on the planet - myhouseradio.fm. Tune in every Monday from 2pm-4pm EST, 7pm-4pm GMT, 8pm-10pm CET. 

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
