The Black Light Disco Show returns to the sexy marshmallow-like airwaves of  My House Radio  with another 2 hour sonic power-shower to blast your Monday pits, bits and grits ready for the week ahead. 

It’s the first Monday of the month which means that it’s the turn of Pookie Knights  to set up the ‘Auditorium of Pandemonium’ here in BLD Towers. The lads are chomping at the bit for their first spin in December - packing their tune sacks with ditties from Grandmaster Flash, Tina Moore, Chuggin Edits, The Reflex and Mauro Vecchi to name but a few. That’s the first hour covered, but what about hour two? 

Well, the Pookies have only gone and brought another special guest along to BLD Towers for canapés and an arm wrestle - the man like Tom Even Funkier! A flame haired tall, beardy disco-wrangler with a penchant for face-pulling as well as producing super-slick edits and reworks, Tom is no stranger to the show and we’re no stranger to him. After washing up on these shores following the wreckage of the merchant ship ‘The Annie Mac Fleece’, Tom has not only seen his own radio show go from strength to strength, he’s also been a super-busy bee with releases on some of the biggest independent labels out there.  

Tom has literally packed the kitchen sink into this set so you’ll need to hold on to your hard hats and pants, folks!

Wilson Frisk hails from Bradford, Yorkshire in the north of England. Like many other Dj's Wilson started his musical journey collecting music as a young teenager doing compilations for his friends. In 1994 Wilson started a music fanzine called 'Jackyard Backoff' with his late friend Chris Stephenson which covered the music scene in the north of England. Around 1995 Wilson became involved with a very successful club night called 'Spice' which was his first stint at Dj'ing playing Broken Beat, Acid Jazz, Hip Hop, Soul and jazz......Wilson has now firmly established himself in the House/Disco scene holding down residencies in Bradford, Leeds and Huddersfield and been involved with infamous club nights such as Back2Funky, Uno House, Our House, Afro Coalition, Way2Funky, Wallop, GYGO and The House Of Phunk. Currently Wilson is one of the Boombox  Stereo residents who play at the mighty BeatHearder Festival and part of the 4Playdjs Collective who play at the Solfest Festival in Cumbria. Wilson is also one half Of Uptown Funk along side his musical partner in crime Poco (https://soundcloud.com/uptownfunkin)

The Black Light Disco show airs exclusively on the #1 house music station on the planet - myhouseradio.fm. Tune in every Monday from 2pm-4pm EST, 7pm-4pm GMT, 8pm-10pm CET. 

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
