Episode 75, the three quarter century, was a bit of a special one - it was broadcast on Valentine’s Day, which is also my birthday! Couldn’t resist slipping in a couple of loved up smoochers, but this episode was all about the promos really, with two new cuts from myself and some brand new heat from disco friends Pete Whitely, Pete Ellison, Jack Tennis, Shalvoy, Da Lukas, Robert Ouimet & Dave Godin and Mascott

As it was my birthday, I’d lined up an extra special guest for hour 2 - Michael Gray!!! Michael is a hugely respected and established British DJ and music producer, best known for his hits ‘The Weekend’ & ‘Borderline’ He is also one half of the dance music production and remixing duo 'Full Intention' who have been at the forefront of Dance music since the early 90s.

London-based Michael is one of the most in-demand Artists on the global dance music scene today. Having relaunched his solo career as Michael Gray in 2018 to pursue his original love of Disco, Michael has consistently placed in the top three house artists on Traxsource - an incredible achievement and a worthy accolade for Michael's world-class production skills. Throw into the mix awesome DJ sets at the best events in the UK, and a host of chart topping tracks with Jon Pearn as Full Intention, and you start to see the full picture of one of the UK's most talented Artists. He has DJ’d all over the world from MOS in London to Hi (for Glitterbox) & Pacha in Ibiza and as far and wide as Poland, Germany, The Philippines, Australia, Russia, Brazil, Georgia, Spain and The Netherlands.

Black Light Disco slid down the myhouseradio.fm helter-skelter last week with a sack full of sonic goodies to soothe your Monday malaise.

It’s that time again, folks - the Samosa Funk train steamed into town on the myhouseradio.fm airwaves with a caboose packed full of sonic delights and aural gems; fashioned by Les Inferno and De Gama to blast away those Monday blues and to kick mediocrity right in the clam pouch. 

The doors of BLD Towers have been flung wide open and in just a few hours time, Les Inferno & De Gama will be taking their places in the ‘Technics Collaboration Zone’ (on the 10th floor) to wow you mere mortals with their celestial skills behind the turntables. 

First up we have The Professor himself, Les Inferno who will be pulling out tunes from his infamous crates of destiny and launching lightning bolts into unsuspecting ears. All expertly blended and programmed in the way only Les Inferno is capable of. 

For the second hour, De Gama gets the eclectic play mat out and delivers a real ‘tour de force’ of emotional highs, fist bumps and air punching. Make no mistake about it, De Gama has crafted a set that will make your heart soar and your Shatner’s Bassoon rattle. Featuring killer tracks from Earth, Wind & Fire, Lex & Locke, Mr. Thruout, Billy Stewart, Vito Lalinga and Todd Terje plus many more, you miss this one at your peril. We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
