The Black Light Disco Show returns to the My House Radio airwaves  with another two hours of sunshine, lollipops and rainbows to bin those Monday blues and set you up for the week ahead.

This week, we’ve got double extra helpings of residents Esteban and Cole Kutz to dollop on your disco plates. Fresh from their window cleaning round, the lads to arrived at BLD Towers in good spirits (mostly because we’d put the heating on for an hour to make them feel as comfy and as cosy as possible). 

First up is Esteban, who has a bag brimming with lush tunes including gems from Save the Robots , Discoslap, Art Of Tones, Sgt Slick, Dexter Troy and Delgado plus many more. 

For the second hour, Cole Kutz will be donning his trademark green poker visor and spinning tracks from the likes of Larry Funk, Hotmood, Gary Poulter Chuggin Edits, Re-Tide and Crazy P.

This week's guest was fellow NDC resident Neil Willis, a man with excellent taste in funky disco grooves. He began his DJ career in 1996, initially performing with vinyl. During this period, he co-founded a club night called KINKY, where he served as the resident DJ, gaining recognition and opportunities to perform at various local events. He took a break for a few years, before coming back strong during lockdown and switching to digital mixing. 

He broadcasts his own show "Different Strokes" every Monday evening, and I usually tune in whenever I can. Neil also turned his hand to music production recently, with his track "Jigalow" hitting the Traxsource Top 20.

He is also part of a DJ collective called Live Life, along with his partner Emma M.

The Black Light Disco Show rockets back onto the gorgeousness that is the myhouseradio.fm airwaves - giving your pillows a good plumping for the week ahead. 

This week, it’s the turn of our deadly DJ duo and semi-retired Vegas-based tumbling act - Cole Kutz and Esteban! Both lads are currently cranking up the woofers and tweeters ahead of their two hour sonic journey into disco, house, funk and all things in between. 

Cole Kutz kicks things off for the first hour, with delicious tunes from the likes of Alex Gomez, Soul Central, Turntables Night Fever, Makito and Don Sizzle to name but 5! For hour two, Esteban travels across the deeper parts of the dance floor, spinning tracks from Phazed Groove, Stranger Danger, James Juke and Angelo Ferreri & Pietro Over Jack.

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
