Killer Boogie once again dances on the MyHouseRadio.fm airwaves, with Stefano Gamma aka De Gama returning to unveil episode 21 of his carnival of musical delights. This month, DeGama has brought along a very, very special guest with him - the supremely talented Dirtyelements!

DeGama opens up the show with a thundering hour of eclectic goodies for you. Excpect a bongo-laden journey across House, Afro, deep grooves and everything in between with tracks from Moplen, Riva Starr, Eli Escobar, Uncle Waffles and Sek / Art Of Tones to name but a few. 

For the second hour DeGama hands over the headphones to fellow countryman Luca Pardini aka Dirty Elements! A prolific House and Disco producer, Luca has an impressive CV going back to 2002 with his (official) remix of duo Bini&Martini’s  ‘Say Yes’ on the Oceantrax Label. In 2016 Luca met Italian compatriot producer Drunkdrivers and as a result the deadly duo of ‘Dirty Elements & Drunkdrivers’ was born. The project has enjoyed some stellar releases on labels such as Samosa Records, Legofunk and Daje Funk. 

But, this hour is all about Dirty Elements, and with a style that embraces the full panorama of dance you’re in for a real treat.

Killer Boogie #21 with De Gama featuring Dirtyelements

The Black Light Disco Show gyrates on the greasy pole that is the My House Radio airwaves - puffing up your pillows and giving your ears a hug for the week ahead. 

It’s the middle of the month which means it’s the return of our resident pointy heads and BLD brothers from different mothers - the dynamic duo of Esteban and Cole Kutz! The lads have been busy with the winter preparations here in the ‘new’ BLD Towers - bleeding the radiators and lagging the pipes on the 102nd floor has not been an easy task but they’re all done and ready for entertaining the masses. 

First up is Esteban, who has a bucket of shiny new things from the likes of Stewart Birch, mo_cream_, Barry Can’t Swim, Igor Gonya & Melbourne Drum Authority, Fingerman / 21st Century Soulboy and David Penn to name a few.

For the second hour Cole Kutz has loaded his spin-o-matic with tunes from Art Of Tones, Groove Armada, Corrado Alunni, Stephen Richards and Dennis Cruz among others. 

It’s going to be a lightening fast 2 hour journey so hold on to your underpants!

The Black Light Disco Show rockets back onto the gorgeousness that is the myhouseradio.fm airwaves - giving your pillows a good plumping for the week ahead. 

This week, it’s the turn of our deadly DJ duo and semi-retired Vegas-based tumbling act - Cole Kutz and Esteban! Both lads are currently cranking up the woofers and tweeters ahead of their two hour sonic journey into disco, house, funk and all things in between. 

Cole Kutz kicks things off for the first hour, with delicious tunes from the likes of Alex Gomez, Soul Central, Turntables Night Fever, Makito and Don Sizzle to name but 5! The Black Light Disco Show flexes its muscles on the tropical beach that is the My House Radio airwaves - celebrating the end of the 140 days of January and bringing in the new month of February with a bang! 

And as it’s the first Monday of the new month, that can only mean one thing - the Pookie Knights boys are back in town with a bag full of tunes and ready to shower you with sonic goodies. 

The lads are just finishing off jet washing the BLD foyer after a nasty 'muck spreading’ incident in the atrium got out of hand. They’ll be in situ in the Arctic Fox Glitter Ballroom soon enough, and with quality tunes from the likes of Loot Jockey, Mr Pires, Mikeandtess, Dimitri From Paris, Sgt Slick and the Foo Funkers plus a special feature track from Even Funkier. For our first exclusive Black Light Disco guest mix, we're very honoured to have the one and only...Smashed Atoms! 

Smashed Atoms is the musical alter-ego of Steve Gladdis, a North-London-based producer and DJ. Starting his musical journey as a drummer, Steve began DJing in the late 1990s, manning the decks at underground parties, bars and clubs in London throughout the next two decades.  

In recent years, he has turned his considerable talents to production, releasing his first EP, Solar Flare in 2014. Since then he’s released a number of EPs, put out two 12" vinyl releases on his own Magic Circles Music label and has featured on compilations from Paper Disco, Hot Digits and Stripped Recordings.

Cut This Way, which became the lead track on the fourth Smashed Atoms EP, featured in sets from Greg Wilson, Peza and Chris Massey, catching the ear of Gregg Holmes aka Fingerman, who released the EP on Hot Digits Music. Cut This Way deservedly hit number one in Juno download's disco chart, with airplay on Nemone's Electric Ladyland show on BBC Radio 6 Music. 

A new Smashed Atoms EP will arrive soon and which features a collaboration with singer Kathy Diamond. Steve has included a track from the new EP, -  'All The Time' exclusively in this mix.

Steve loves the ethos of the eras just before, and just after, the original disco peak period - when DJs played music from any genre as long as it sounded good on a dancefloor, and he brings that eclectic approach to his DJing and productions.

Here at BLD we're huge admirers of his and we're absolutely delighted to have him on board for this exclusive guest mix. You're gonna love it!

For our third show (which aired on NYC's MyHouse Radio on Monday 20th January 2020) we handed over the whole two hours to our dynamic duo and jewel in the BLD crown, Pookie Knights.

Hailing from Wrexham in Wales, Pookie Knights have been with us from the very early beginnings of Black Light Disco and are firmly part of the BLD family. To see these two play live is an experience that shouldn't be missed. Their sets are always full of raw, disco energy and that energy has translated seamlessly into their own productions. With their first release out on Spin Cat Music, it's only a matter of time before you'll see Pookie Knights topping the likes of Juno and Traxsource download charts.

Airing on NYC's MyHouse Radio on Monday 3rd Feb 2020, Black Light Disco resident Sonic Consultants Dirty Old Vinyl and Goz were on hosting duties providing their unique brand of funky, slinky vibes. These two need no introduction, having built a solid following over the last couple of years individually and forging a reputation for consistently delivering sets of spectacular quality. For the Black Light Disco show which aired on MyHouse Radio Monday 10th Feb 2020 we had a very special guest - Gary Jones (aka Gazzz696). Hailing from Wrexham in North Wales, Gary has built a huge, huge subscriber base on his YouTube channel (almost 77k at the last count)and has a solid reputation for giving plays ahead of release on respected labels such as Tropical Disco, Samosa Records, Whiskey Disco and Toy Tonics to name but a few. We were delighted to have Gary on as a guest on Black Light Disco and his set absolutely knocked it out of the proverbial park!

The Black Light Disco show airs exclusively on the #1 house music station on the planet - myhouseradio.fm. Tune in every Monday from 2pm-4pm EST, 7pm-4pm GMT, 8pm-10pm CET. 

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
