The Black Light Disco Show flutters back onto the myhouseradio.fm airwaves a little later on - like a whacked out butterfly looking for a funky nectar hit right in the proboscis! 

And leading tonight’s extravaganza are two of Wrexham’s finest (but deadliest) social butterflies - Pookie Knights! 

The Pookie boys have been extremely busy over the last week tending to the ‘Larry Levan Memorial Sky Garden’ here in BLD Towers - counting all the bees in and out of the ‘Paradise Garage Hives’ and ensuring all the Eucalyptus trees are stripped of their bark. We didn’t even have to ask them this time so that’s progress. 

We’re expecting a furious selection of banging tunes from the Pookie bag of nice stuff, so wear your best dancing dungarees and polish those whistles.

The Black Light Disco Show whip cracked the My House Radio airwaves again with another action packed basket of mayhem! 

This week, our residents Esteban & Goz hosted the show from the BLD sponsored sun terrace on the shores of Lake Guacamole. The chaps have been clearing out the pool shed all week - shifting the chlorine and recycling old deckchairs in preparation for the final throes of summer. Honestly, the work never ends. 

First up is Esteban, who has gone with an eclectic, funky bass-driven affair to tickle your fancy. Expect some upcoming Tropical Disco gems and crackers from the likes of Chewy Rubs, Hotmood, Late Nite Tuff Guy and a few more!

For the second hour, Goz ramps up the tempo a little and oozes a housey vibe, which he seems to be embracing more and more. And boy, do we love it. Tracks from Chuggin Edits, 6th Borough Project, Will Buck and Soirires awaits for those who dare!

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
