The Black Light Disco Show airing on My House Radio on 7th December 2020 was a super tag-team event joining the Disco Houses of BLD and Discoholics Anonymous. On hosting duties in the 'Four to the Floor' Observatory atop BLD Towers was Esteban (aka Ste Hendry), who had been polishing the silverware and scrubbing the skirting boards all afternoon for the arrival of a very, very special guest - the one and only Discoholic Ken Avalon!

We're honoured and privileged to be able to call Ken a friend of the show and we’re huge admirers of what he’s doing with his own unstoppable juggernaut, Discoholics Anonymous.  Ken has been a very busy bee in 2020,  founding Discoholics Anonymous Recordings in the summer of 2020, landing a weekly Friday radio show on Prime Radio (the excellent Hot To The Touch) where he and his co-pilot, the supremely talented Martin Petersson showcase the very best of the disco scene and hold court to a very captive audience (yours truly included!)

The Black Light Disco show airs exclusively on the #1 house music station on the planet - myhouseradio.fm. Tune in every Monday from 2pm-4pm EST, 7pm-4pm GMT, 8pm-10pm CET. 

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
