He’s already achieved a lot in his short career including warming up for Shapeshifters at Stereo, Covent Garden, and appearing on Michael Gray’s Mastermix show on Mi-Soul Radio. Charlie is definitely one to watch in the UK disco scene, and beyond!

The Couple Show #17

Episode 142 of Funkier Sounds is dedicated to the memory of Danielle Moore from Crazy P. I played a good few tracks featuring her divine vocals in the first hour, and did my best to put together a set of the sort of deep, sleazy, low-slung disco that Crazy P do so well. 

For hour 2 it felt like the only right thing to do was to replay the guest mix she did for me earlier this year. I was so thrilled when she finally sent me this mix, and super proud to put it out on my little show. Loads of the songs in it have since made it into my collection - a marker of her impeccable taste, and it’s quite emotional to hear those voice drops she so kindly put in again. Like so many others I’ll really miss her - she’s gone way too soon. But let’s bask in the warm glow of a Danielle Moore DJ set and remember her fondly as a kind soul and a true star. ❤️

Ep 218: Feel Good Friday Show (feat Pete Lynch)

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
