For the second hour, De Gama’s first guest for the new show is Italian producer and longtime Samosa and Daje Funk Records collaborator - M.B. Edit (aka Massimo Berardi). Expect a pulsating hour of music featuring tracks from PiCOSSU, Micky More & Andy Tee, Dave Lee, Da Lukas and Massimo Berardi himself.

Killer Boogie #01 De Gama & Special Guest MB Edit

At BLD, we like to think we know our stuff, so we're delighted to bring you the second episode of Killer Boogie (which melted the airwaves of myhouseradio.fm)

De Gama brings back his new project with Black Light Disco for its second outing, and for this one he has brought in the supremely talented DJ, producer and all round genius, LTJ X-perience. 

De Gama will be kicking the first hour off in style - laying down the law and taking no prisoners. There’s a lot packed into this hour, with tracks from The Reflex, Paul Older, Lego Edit plus many more (including one from the main man himself, LTJ.)

And in hour 2, De Gama hands over to that main man, LTJ X-perience - aka Luca ‘LTJ’ Trevisi, aka LTJ Edits. LTJ trained as a DJ producer at the end of the 80s. Resident first at the Kinki Club in Bologna and then at the Cap Creus in Imola, he is one of the first Italian DJs to produce House music and his style weaves intricate webs of jazz grooves, Latinbossa and classic tracks from the 70s which, over time have paved the way for Acid Jazz and Rare Grooves. Tracks such as “I Don't Want This Groove To Ever End” (2012), “Ain't Nothing But A Groove” (2013), “ Don't Let The System Get You Down” (2015) and “Beggar Groove” (2017) highlight LTJ's more funk and groovy side.

Killer Boogie #02 De Gama & Special Guest LTJ X-perience

Killer Boogie landed on the myhouseradio.fm airwaves with the third instalment of our new blood pact with the main man, De Gama!   

Kicking things off for the first hour is De Gama himself, armed with a sackful of dynamite tunes that will blow your lounge slippers off and replace them with roller boogie skates. Featuring tracks from Young Pulse, The Reflex, Andromeda Orchestra and Love Drops to name but a few. 

Joining De Gama as his special guest this month is the one and the only Monsieur Van Pratt! It’s time again for Killer Boogie to grace the myhouseradio.fm airwaves, beaming the fourth instalment of the De Gama led spectacular right into your homes, workplaces and or glamping tent! And this week, he has landed a very, very special guest - the one, the only Lego Edit! 

In a team up very much having us drooling here in BLD Towers, De Gama takes the controls first with a set bristling with funky goodness. We’re going down the rabbit hole with this one, folks so better strap in for this ride! Featuring tracks from Domo Domo, Andromeda Orchestra, Da Lukas, Moodena and Ferry Ultra -  be prepared to be taken hostage by De Gama’s deadly Killer Boogie.  

De Gama’s guest for this episode needs no introduction. A producer, DJ and all round talented cookie, Lego Edit has been at the top of his game for a long time. Hailing from Italy, his mastery of jazz, funk and afro edits is second to none. It’s no overstatement to say that he’s been one of the most influential producers of the last half decade. 

We've long said that a team up between De Gama and Lego Edit is a match made in heaven. Listeners on Monday were blown away, and you will be too.

Killer Boogie once again dances on the MyHouseRadio.fm airwaves, with Stefano Gamma aka De Gama returning to unveil episode 21 of his carnival of musical delights. This month, DeGama has brought along a very, very special guest with him - the supremely talented Dirtyelements!

DeGama opens up the show with a thundering hour of eclectic goodies for you. Excpect a bongo-laden journey across House, Afro, deep grooves and everything in between with tracks from Moplen, Riva Starr, Eli Escobar, Uncle Waffles and Sek / Art Of Tones to name but a few. 

For the second hour DeGama hands over the headphones to fellow countryman Luca Pardini aka Dirty Elements! A prolific House and Disco producer, Luca has an impressive CV going back to 2002 with his (official) remix of duo Bini&Martini’s  ‘Say Yes’ on the Oceantrax Label. In 2016 Luca met Italian compatriot producer Drunkdrivers and as a result the deadly duo of ‘Dirty Elements & Drunkdrivers’ was born. The project has enjoyed some stellar releases on labels such as Samosa Records, Legofunk and Daje Funk. 

But, this hour is all about Dirty Elements, and with a style that embraces the full panorama of dance you’re in for a real treat.

For our first exclusive Black Light Disco guest mix, we're very honoured to have the one and only...Smashed Atoms! 

Smashed Atoms is the musical alter-ego of Steve Gladdis, a North-London-based producer and DJ. Starting his musical journey as a drummer, Steve began DJing in the late 1990s, manning the decks at underground parties, bars and clubs in London throughout the next two decades.  

In recent years, he has turned his considerable talents to production, releasing his first EP, Solar Flare in 2014. Since then he’s released a number of EPs, put out two 12" vinyl releases on his own Magic Circles Music label and has featured on compilations from Paper Disco, Hot Digits and Stripped Recordings.

Cut This Way, which became the lead track on the fourth Smashed Atoms EP, featured in sets from Greg Wilson, Peza and Chris Massey, catching the ear of Gregg Holmes aka Fingerman, who released the EP on Hot Digits Music. Cut This Way deservedly hit number one in Juno download's disco chart, with airplay on Nemone's Electric Ladyland show on BBC Radio 6 Music. 

A new Smashed Atoms EP will arrive soon and which features a collaboration with singer Kathy Diamond. Steve has included a track from the new EP, -  'All The Time' exclusively in this mix.

Steve loves the ethos of the eras just before, and just after, the original disco peak period - when DJs played music from any genre as long as it sounded good on a dancefloor, and he brings that eclectic approach to his DJing and productions.

Here at BLD we're huge admirers of his and we're absolutely delighted to have him on board for this exclusive guest mix. You're gonna love it!

Hailing from Wrexham in Wales, Pookie Knights have been with us from the very early beginnings of Black Light Disco and are firmly part of the BLD family. To see these two play live is an experience that shouldn't be missed. Their sets are always full of raw, disco energy and that energy has translated seamlessly into their own productions. The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).
