DeGama has not only taken a deep dive into the memory crates for this one, he’s also got some new grooves and some brand new stuff to create this ‘Past and Present’ journey though time and sonic space; paying homage to recently departed icons such as Roy Ayers, Angie Stone, and Gwen McCrae. Killer Boogie #27 lands on the  myhouseradio.fm griddle with another sizzler from DeGama to apply some crucial sonic therapy.  

It’s DeGama for the whole two hour show again this month and another ‘Past and Present’ themed set celebrating the genius of icons and legends from the past and showcasing some of the best producers and artists currently plying their trade on the scene. Black Light Disco with Fingerman April 2025

I recently got to play at the long running daytime disco, funk and house event MFSB in Edinburgh and although I didn't manage to record the set live on the day I've recreated the experience here with all the tracks that I played. Faz - Live @ Pen&Pencil Manchester May 24th '25

For the second episode of the new "Mix Sessions," Pete Ellison donned one of his signature Hawaiian shirts, fired up the decks, and lit up the disco lights for a journey through multiple genres.

The new format of the show gives our Waltons a chance to showcase their unique sound over a two hour broadcast. The first hour packed full of glitterball grooves and disco magic, featuring three of his own new productions. The second hour shifted gears into house music, full of beefy basslines and a tougher, more driving vibe.

The session was meant to wrap up after two hours, but the energy was too good to stop. Pete commandeered the airwaves for an impromptu third hour, diving into old skool house classics and bangers from his vinyl days, before rounding off the night with a few funky breakbeat tracks.

The Black Light Disco show airs exclusively on the #1 house music station on the planet - myhouseradio.fm. Tune in every Monday from 2pm-4pm EST, 7pm-4pm GMT, 8pm-10pm CET. 

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. Our ethos is based around a very simple concept: GOOD MUSIC, GOOD TIMES with GOOD PEOPLE. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
