Five years ago, my dear lifelong friend, Scott "McBalls" Bragin lost his long battle with colon cancer. The Rhythm Forever Foundation celebrates his life and all of the people that he touched with a charity run on his birthday, April 6th, every year. All proceeds donated to this charity go to fund colon cancer research. This is our second year and I am proud to say that we have doubled the number of participants from last year with a month to go. 

Each song in this mix will touch all of us that knew him in our own special way. For those participants that did not have the pleasure of his friendship, the varying genres give you an idea of how broad his reach was. I hope that you like it and think of him as you're running (or walking) in his memory on April 6th, 2024.

Rhythm Forever - Run For Colon Cancer April 6th, 2024

The inspiration behind the mix.

As most of you may remember, Scott was a total creature of habit, especially when he was DJ'ing parties.  I have DJ'd with Scott so many times and I am constantly reminded of him just listening to the radio.  The songs that I curated for this mix are quite eclectic.  There is some classic soul, some old school hip-hop, some disco, some of Scott's most famous room openers and dance routines as well as songs that he just loved to play for his own satisfaction whether the clients wanted them or not.  

So be prepared to be taken all over the map as you listen to this mix.  

All I can say is that with each and every song, I can see Scott vibing either behind the DJ Booth or out on the dance floor.  The guy was a true talent that I will admire for the rest of my days.
