In celebration of his latest soundtrack for Naqqash Khalid's directorial debut, In Camera, Warp alumni and celebrated producer Clark presents a cinematic soundscape in his Bleep mix selection, an aural long panning shot moving across films and composers both legendary and modern classic in status. Featuring Popol Vuh (Heart Of Glass), Howard Shore (Videodrome) alongside Disasterpiece (It Follows) and Cristobal Tapia de Veer (Utopia) to name a few, while further highlighting the juxtaposition in a bold move cutting the themes for both Solaris films next to each other.

“Really enjoyed compiling this mix of OST stuff I'm rather fond of. Yes it starts with an 8 minute track. But it's Popol Vuh and it has one of the most gorgeous end sections ever. It was interesting hearing the two Solaris themes next to each other. It's obvs more trendy to be all "oh I prefer the original Solaris score- and all the deleted stuff that only 3 people on Earth have heard" but I actually really like the Martinez version as well. It was interesting to me hearing the complete shift in timbre that 30 years of evolved music making tools bring-The slick slightly airlocked, clean layers of Martinez contrasting with the Artymev glowing, encrusted analogue 70's organs burnt to tape. Celebrating their second album, South London supergroup Decius serve an hour of distorted club and mantra like lyrics in their mix for Bleep. Their brooding, idiosyncratic take on acid house evokes the underground mystique of EBM, its punkish tendencies alight in the drum machines, sultry acid stabs, and breathy vocals all over tracks from Decius Vol. II (Splendour & Obedience), their Decius Trax EPs, and unreleased gems. Early highlight ‘Ghent’ is full of morphing acid basslines and liquid synths matching the steamy performances, while elsewhere throbbing layers of electronics are dedicated to rhythmic expressions.

In Decius’ words: “'As with all our DJ sets, this mix consists exclusively of Decius music. We are not narcissists, we just love playing what we've made. It also means our sets contain some stuff that won't be heard anywhere else, as we don't release everything we play. Keep things spicy...!”

After giving us A Guide To Hellthier Lifestyle, Bjarki continues to provide with a conceptual companion mix to detox from the world’s ills, stitched with ironic infomercials and sarcastic self help tape skits. As Bjarki puts it: “It’s a wellness mix with a narrative that reflects the present moment. A snapshot in time, a map of the sounds and artists I keep returning to. Some of these tracks hold deep personal meaning, reminding me exactly why I’m drawn to music in the first place.”

Featuring a generous variety from the Throbbing Gristle extended industrial family, as well as Swedish composer Egil Kalman, Bjarki’s “relentless pursuit of wellness” runs from jaunty, psychedelically blurred 70s pop and early pioneering synthesiser musicians like Raymond Scott to the tangling guitar picks and acidic pulses of Biogen’s Sigur Rós remix, to Cyclone’s classic, euphoric bleep techno cut ‘A Place Called Bliss’ and the seminal Shackleton production 'Undeadman' reminding us everyone starts from point one. Ingeniously cunning and tongue in cheek as this mix is, there’s plenty of bliss in between Bjarki’s unreleased blistering rhythms.

For our latest Bleep Mix instalment, Sandwell District come through with a hefty programming of dark rollers fulfilling that promise of reinvigorated purpose they mentioned before: “Having a good time”. And with a wealth of exclusive unheard material it’s hard to refute the mission statement. Dropping straight into the cavernous environs of an unreleased Regis side Frosty Jack’s, the selection rides a restrained line building tension through a number of Nastia Reigel tracks deployed with utmost precision before upping its stride with Luke Slater’s Planetary Assault Systems and quickly landing first peak from The Wizard himself, with Jeff Mills' slamming ‘93 cut Step to Enchantment (Stringent). Following his latest album Songs Of Love And Decay for Dekmantel, Broken English Club serves a mix of furiously scrubbing bass and strutting and stomping rhythms. The swirling signal scratches of Russell Haswell combined with Sunn O)))’s continuous pummel of guitars are folded into coursing industrial techno beats from Ansome as BEC layers four tracks on top of each other for an intense opening salvo of rhythm and noise. What follows is no less unrelenting: the electricity of Scalameriya zaps and groans like the pulverising kicks and thumps are eviscerating the track’s machinery, and Samuel Kerridge’s ‘Propagates Of Desire’ is an obsidian trip through thorn-riddled electro, with visceral, ominous, foreboding spoken word from Aaron Turner.

Fresh from Stochastic Drift, Barker’s buzzing second album named Bleep Record of the Month alongside an exclusive 12”, Barker sends a mix that really digs deep into the unique sonic methodology he has constructed across his solo career width a suitable breadth for what is also a milestone in the series, Bleep Mix #300.

From Debiasing to Utility to Stochastic Drift, Barker has been reimagining club music without its definitive thump, instead driven by melody and tactile synthesis, and this selection of tracks expands Barker’s soundworld with a host of artists walking a similar path. “For this mix, I picked out some of my favourite uptempo ambient tracks, recorded at home with two decks and a mixer. It’s music I've used in a lot of different contexts, as a DJ and listener, and I hope you enjoy it.”

Though the occasional dancefloor thump makes itself known, such as on Adriana Lopez’ ‘What Lies Behind’, it’s mostly in quaking subs rather than actual four to the floor, providing some ground for this mix’s airy freeform variety to fly over. We have the wooden plunks and seaspray of Afefe Iku’s Kenyan island sound, the wonky gamelan of Tyler Friedman’s maze of bells and chimes, the dense atmosphere of shaker-produced rain and electrical chirps forged deep in the ruins of The Future Sound Of London.

The midsection of this mix contains some magic in particular: the maestro of drumless trance Lorenzo Senni creates motion from pure jagged synth energy on ‘The Power of Failing’, dissolving into the aether of an unreleased Barker track, which further discharges into the kaleidoscopic stutters of Caribou’s ‘Never Come Back’ with jubilant piano chords and vocal clips wrought into a glitchy, swirling maelstrom of Koreless' prickly warmth. Digital Justice’s ‘Theme From It’s All Gone Pearshaped’ follows, a timeless staple for anyone wishing to dabble in melodic motion and synthsmithery, or any DJ set seeking to add some lift without losing momentum, of which this mix is in no short supply.

Sully has been totally locked in as of late with a steady stream of 12”s landing over the past year, and now with a mix for Bleep he’s showing off what’s up next. Amidst a handful of unreleased and forthcoming cuts from Sully and friends are cymbal hits barking in between gnashing, brawling breakbeats, fearsome bass wobbles, and engine revving purrs. Soulful, melismatic synthpop enters on Kid Lib’s ‘Jungle Days And Nights’, fractured into Tim Reaper’s jungle euphoria, leading to D*Minds & Bladerunner dropping heavy depth charges, Arcane stretching vocal clips in a drilling breakbeat collage, and Objekt’s murky tension on ‘Bad Apples’ with a molten jagged bassline, industrial whirring, and the pitch dial gone wild.

With his latest solo album Quiet Pieces initiating his imprint Soft Echoes, Abul Mogard mixes composers and collaborators that have permeated his discography and inspirations. An impeccable sense of flow and continuity defines these selections, as Mogard says: "I imagined this mix as an atmosphere you could inhabit – a quiet weave of pieces I’m drawn to. It’s a sound collage of old and new music, where tracks meet and overlap gently, carrying you along in a flow while subtly shifting the scenery beneath your feet." From groaning ambience to trilling winds and warm washes of glitching noise comes a frisson of flutes on Stefano Pilia’s ‘CADUX / Plectere’ over an all consuming rumbling bass drone. Mogard highlights vocals in the midsection: the hissing of ‘Anticredos’, Meredith monk’s harmonic conterplay with arrays of pointillist vocal notes, Félicia Atkinson’s spoken word barely rising from its quietude, before brewing a dense buzzing electrical storm of swirling currents and gyres with the final few tracks, the rugged and visceral clockwork of Rafael Anton Irisarri mechanically crumbling as William Basinski’s piano notes eternally intone.

Mark Van Hoen has been enjoying a retrospective moment in his career as he has collected for his albums on Dell’Orso Records, and this mix takes a look back at his many collaborations and bands since the 90s. Showcasing great range, Van Hoen has moved from complex analogue synth blips to snarling, sneering, sizzling shoegaze with ease. Sarah Peacock’s vocals come through bright and clear on Scala’s ‘Words & Thoughts’, while later tracks dive into gently shaking bass buzz with angelic voices swooping and gliding, and pulsating hypnotic slowburns. Soon, bittersweet and explorative sweeps of strings evolve into deep guitar grooves, plaintively tiptoeing synthpop, and thrashing blasts of guitar shreds.

Flying through funk, soul, psychedelia, and enchanting soundtracks, Adam Wiltzie commemorates the 30th anniversary of Stars of the Lid’s debut Music for Nitrous Oxide with a mix mirroring the album’s spaciousness and throbbing rawness. The lurching guitars of Wiltzie’s Windsor For The Derby band pace out a textural abyss, allowing for the hushed, gentle twitches of Loscil’s ‘Sticky’ to slowly expand as frost growing on a windowpane, and the fluid melismatic bansuri of Hariprasaf Chaurasia to unravel throughout much of the mix. Smooth organ glides and lush harmonies later lead to a convergence of dextrous, emotive guitar plucks on vAntonio Pinto**’s cinematically swelling ‘Maradona Childhood’.

For Tectonic’s 20th anniversary, label boss Pinch rounds up some heaters from the label alongside their Tectonic Sound compilation. Spinning the whole bass spectrum, Pinch goes from broiling two step to scrubbing grime, with frazzled pulse discharging great energy beside Trim’s idiosyncratic, expressive raps. Lighter moments like the whizzing, zipping, euphoric arpeggios of Peverlist’s ‘Feel Something’ are offset by guttural moody bass, travelling from the club convergence of rattles and tings and brightly resonating metals on Bohdi’s ‘Bellcurve’ to the heavy rotating bass of J. Sparrow’s ‘L33T SP33K’, with slippery dub lasers echoing out.

The versatility of On-U Sound shines in this generous mix from the label crew, “90 minutes of deep cuts, lost classics and non-label Sherwood productions, recorded using two turntables and a stack of original vinyl.” There’s the classic fluttering horns, hot sticky bass and guitars, from the likes of Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry and Dub Syndicate, and then there’s the leftfield grooves of African Head Charge with whirring, rattling, thunking drums and percussion, the drilling industrial soundscape of Mark Stewart & The Maffia. Sitting in between are the psychedelic jazz dub fusions of Playgroup with slick dextrous bassline and ricocheting drums, the reggae inflected synth funk of Shara Nelson, and Little Annie’s sensual spoken word drowning in idiosyncratic desire.

To celebrate the release of the Telepathic Fish compilation, we have a special ‘O Is For Orange 2025’ Bleep Mix from DJ Food.

"A version of this mix first appeared in 2013 at a night to celebrate the release of Boards of Canada’s ‘Tomorrow’s Harvest’ LP release. It then morphed into an Audio Video DJ set that I toured around the UK in 2019, playing the Bluedot festival to a packed tent that year. The idea was to thread Boards of Canada’s music with original sample sources, tracks they’d remixed, fan remixes or songs that fitted their sonic blueprint.

I recently resurrected and refined the mix for a gig booking, updating it into a new version. This happened to be a week before I was due to deliver my guest mix to Bleep and it seemed to be too good an opportunity to pass up. I abandoned the mix I was going to deliver and put down the first hour of the ‘Orange’ set including a video mix to go with it. I used stem splitting apps to deconstruct some of the tracks into unique versions before video mixing it all on turntables using Serato then editing the footage in Premiere." - @strictly

Earlier in 2025, Wevie Stonder returned to Skam with their first album in 16 years, and such an occasion requires further celebration, no? Sure Beats Living delivers more of the collective’s signature cheekiness, and this mix for Bleep unravels all of the wildly eclectic sounds and styles that have powered over two decades of iconoclasm.

This is probably the only mix you’ll find that travels from drill and bass to Ecuadorian synth cumbia to 40s jazz. Constant stylistic U-turns are the name of the game, and as the group recontextualise tracks with comedic skits and spoken word pieces, you never know which little sonic nugget is going to be the jumping off point for a completely opposite yet cleverly connected world of sound. Wevie Stonder’s own strange crossing between avant experimentation and punkish irreverence sits between the jangling bass guitar of Gary Le Strange, whose reclusive hikikomori-induced paranoia is delivered in an ironic nasally britpop voice, and the wonky synth funk of Devonwho with lush crisp beats and thrumming jazzy keys.

Bucolic Moog wash and lounge piano tiptoe beneath a Radiophonic Workshop-esque segment testing out the possibilities of synthesisers; “Finally, an example of rhythmic electronic music,” says the posh presenter, introducing a full and proper rinsing with some classic Squarepusher chops. Amen breaks are chucked in the shredder and glued back together with thick jungle bass, then dissipate into Hiroshi Yoshimura’s birdsong bliss. With these disparate tracklist transitions, each track in itself brings together unlikely combinations: further melodrama from Gary Le Strange pairs southern crooning with jaunty harpsichord, bass punches and cascading pianos flow between J Dilla’s slow hip hop hits, and Polibio Mayorga merges accordion and cowbells with the theatrics of expressively vintage synth sounds, brass and electronics trading lines on ‘Muñequita Blanca’.

Tracking a personal and pivotal moment in his life, Rafael Anton Irisarri’s fateful album A Fragile Geography has shifted meanings from grief to resilience in the ten years since it was released. Irisarri’s mix for Bleep taps back into those initial feelings changed by time, highlighting glistening blankets of sound, gauzy chord sweeps, and romantic bittersweet swells amidst the swathes of blasting, folding harmonic noise. Ryuichi Sakamoto’s dreamily puffing organ chords waltz towards the swaying pendulum of piano on Bohren & Der Club Of Gore’s ‘Maximum Black’, revealing a jazz backing of noir drum shuffles. Mabe Fratti’s voice is soft and billowy like a cloud of perfume on her rework of ‘Hiatus’, dispersed by the privately reflective noise of Ethel Cain’s ‘Onanist’, both airily cushioning and sharply confronting.

“I made this mix for Bleep to celebrate the tenth anniversary and reissue of my album "A Fragile Geography". I structured the mix to mirror how grief moves through us. It's a haze of fragmented memories and emotions, drifting like smoke through dimly lit rooms with memory stained walls. Each song feels like a whispered thought, a fogged-up mirror, or a letter never sent. Some tracks feel soft and distant, while others hit a little harder. Grief doesn’t scream here; it sighs, loops, and lingers. Tape hiss, faint piano, distant voices, and time dissolved strings shape the sound. This is a collection of songs and recordings from U's archive on Archenfield, a place that exists beneath the drifting borders of England, Wales and the Forest of Dean. The mix explores the area's musical history, humour and the sometimes overbearing legacy of senior nostalgia on modern rural culture. Amidst cheeky spoken word passages, rolling waves of piano and agile bucolic guitars, and twanging transatlantic connections, U juxtaposes different versions of folksongs and standards. Lydbrook Silver Band’s performance of ‘Edelweiss’ is dreamily mournful with ghostly brass arrangements, the sound of gloomy moors and overcast marshes switched out for Christine Turner’s arresting voice, while U transitions from Michael Tanner & Alison Cotton’s mystical plucks and string to his own ominously tolling drums and stories of ‘Black Vaughan’.

Rounding out an electrifying year, Sandwell District deliver a mix that both celebrates Bleep's album of the year End Beginnings and pays tribute to the man who helped them get this far. Silent Servant’s discography is a plentiful one and Sandwell shows it in all its colours, ranging from hissing electro to sputtering microbeats to revolving hardcore throb doused in mysterious ambience. Blissful ripples of soft rounded synth melody slowly flow into rebounding beats and slamming dub synths, transformed into tactile laser pulses and howling gusts of distortion. The predatorily strutting bass stabs of Sterile Hand’s ‘The Hunter’ is stealthy EBM under the cloak of night, contrasted by Tropic Of Cancer’s guitar twangs worked into slick yet turbulent percussive sequences Cabaret Voltaire’s ‘Silent Command’ edited into a jittery, woozy lofi dream.

The Warp Records Bleep × takeover marked the last event at our pop-up shop in Dalston. Mira Calix, Plaid and Special Request all delivered sets that were energetic, playful and ultimately; incredibly fun. This mix from Plaid starts from the off at 100% and stays there till the end. From the first kickdrum to the final squelch, this is a constant roller bursting with heart palpitating energy.  60 minutes of pure vibrancy with a breakbeat or two thrown in for good measure - fitting for a final big blow out!

No frills or faff about this set, just banger after glorious banger from Warp kingpins.

PLZ Make It Ruins boss Vegyn has just released his debut LP after a run of singles on his own label, as well as working with the likes of Frank Ocean and Travis Scott. Here we see him pull some of his favourite tracks and go-to selections when playing live. 

"Playing a DJ set is so temporary that there's not much room for analysis. However, the permanence of an online mix is to me more akin to that of a tattoo - It's gonna stay with you forever! With that in mind, I tried to step away from modernity and instead have chosen tracks I find myself still listening to even after all these years."
