Ah, then the fascination with the fast dance tracks turned into deep House production through friends and experiences, which then blossomed into a Bachelor’s degree in music composition. Liberal arts training allowed him to take classes and learn about human intellect, nature, and essentially develop his personal definition of art. Synapsis Records and Machining Dreams record labels are born and are currently releasing music by, for, and from the underground. Then after learning the craft, collaborations were born as he is part of In Pegasus Heat, Resonating, Hardware Hustlerz, Slowmotion and Dream Scoring. G. Marcell: Words of inspiration to get the world moving 360 positive. If no one today have told you that you are loved let me be the first, you are loved. G.Marcell started spinning at 89.3 WKKC on Sound Waves in Chicago on Saturday back in 1991 (as Suga Bear). In between now and then G. Marcell have beat up clubs and parties from Chicago to Indiana on up to Michigan. As far as releases go, in 2002 dropping his first E.P. w/ Bumpincity entitled “The Definition Of G. Marcell” was the start of his journey as a producer. Since then, G. Marcell have worked and produced remixes for different underground labels such as, Underground Uncensored, Noble Square Recordings (NSR), Synapsis, Minimalizm and also have started his own label. And for artist that he have worked with…….. Well………… Ricardo Miranda, Amir Alexander, Hakim Murphy and more. As of now he continues to produce and remix music and stay on a spiritual plane in the process.

"A gig is so much more than that one hour onstage performing - it's loading the van, travelling, setting up, soundcheck, getting ready, waiting for the show, the show, the post-show, selling merch, packing down, loading out and travelling to the hotel - each show day is like 4 days in one! From Venue To Van charts some of this emotional pre-and post-show cartography.

The first part reflects the kind of mixtape I always put on in the venue, filling the room with my murky post-punk and beat-driven favourites, LoneLady-fying the space…creating atmosphere and building anticipation. By showtime, we are jittery with adrenaline as we step onstage.

Some time later, fuelled by post-show buzz, gin, white wine, fatigue and a touch of hysteria, the second part of the mix takes an awry turn as the van turns into a mini post-show afterparty on wheels in which we tumble and laugh, playing tunes through a Bluetooth speaker. The mix winds down as we are lulled into half-sleep by the repetitive motorway thrum, until finally, as the fog creeps in, we stumble into the utilitarian but loving embrace of a Travelodge." - @lonelady
