Blindetonation serve up another summer sizzler from French artist Sebastien Tex with big remixes by FKClub and Javi Redondo.
DJ and producer Tex brings all the rugged attitude you would expect of an artist on this DIY minded label. His punky disco is visceral and vital and comes on esteemed labels like Correspondant and La Belle Records as well as this one.
First up here is the super title track, a snaking bit of spooky dark disco with a hypnotic lead line. Tension builds around the slap-funk drums and moody bass and the whole thing is sure to get the floor to erupt. Remixing is FKClub, a skilled drummer, DJ and producer who makes mental yet visceral music that draws on anything from rock to acid. His take on ‘Mouniche’ has stiff bass stabs and sic- fi effects making it a turbulent cosmic groover.
Next is ‘The Struggles of Life’, a terrific track wired up with sinewy electronics and percolating bass. Big guitar riffs bring the menace and once the drums drop again this is a rock-tinged disco gem. Madrid’s Javi Redondo is a key player in the Spanish scene who now tours all over Europe with his genre defying sounds. He reworks it into something more urgent, with pumping drums and drunken synths tumbling down the scales to bring a brilliantly off balance feel.
Once more this is a superb package of forward looking club chuggers from Blindetonation.

It has been all quiet on the Optimo Music front recently while energy has been devoted to the launch of Optimo Trax but do not fear, there are a plethora of scintillating releases in the pipeline for 2014.

First up is a stormtrooper of an EP from The Twins. We first met The Twins when they were hanging out in Glasgow before they were twins and were simply known as Julienne Dessagne. By the time our paths had crossed in various European capital cities they had fully developed their Twin like tendencies. A mutual appreciation was born and out of that came the suggestion that The Twins might make a record for Optimo Music. The resulting three tracks far exceeded our wildest expectations and we are incredibly proud to be presenting this Twins magnum opus to the world. Haunting, forceful, transcendent music with spine tingling vocals this EP has perhaps a tad more dancefloor capability than many Optimo Music releases but is also a record equally capable of giving your ears a lot of loving at home. 

It was hard to pick one track to showcase the EP but this one is the one that has perhaps been tested out on the dance floor the most and always results in people clamouring to know what it is. The kind of track that completely changes the atmosphere in a club and often results in spontaneous cheering, it has been mixed to perfection by The Twins ally, Superpitcher who will be releasing their debut album on his and Rebolledo's Hippie Dance label.

Expect Twins live shows in 2014.


This will be released on a three track 12" and digital on March 17th 2014. Distribution by Kompakt.

Diar Storm, Lost Boy 1984, Play Paul present a modern form of Dark Wave Electro that is, equal parts stroppy and sexy. 'Everything So' emits cathartic steam as vibrant synths burst with bittersweet chords and jagged staccato tones.
'Tainted In The Sun' by Niv Ast kicks off with a Manchester chorus beaming out over stroppy power chords.
Gary Numan’s cross-continental hit 'Cars' from 1979 has been covered, sampled and reworked from vastly different pockets of the industry. Now - Laroz presents a rejuvenation of ’Cars’.
'Infinity' by Budakid is a journey in the truest sense of the word. Through an effervescent bass sequence, clever filter control and kinetic drum work, Budakid generates consistent motion from start to finish.
'Falling For You' by Komilev dials in that Panorama vibe packed with effervescent drama, soul and sass.
'Rompe Disco’ by Alex Medina bumps like House and glistens like an Italo whilst also exuding the moxie of Reggaeton.
'Foreign Affairs' by Micropacer follows with more early 80s flair.
Pole Position of Brunch In The Park Barcelona fame channel their complementary energies into 'Diamonds'; a recording inspired by Electro House that deftly straddles 80s New Wave, Prog and Indie.
Moodymanc's 'Joy' twists Philadelphia soul sounds into a peak time house monster. Now re-edited for modern times in a special Breakbeat version.
São Paulo based Renato Cohen fires up his arsenal of analogue gear and adds a bright and burly Italo cut with ’Lemon Key’.
Zeynep Erbay’s ’Neon Palm’ sits comfortably alongside modern Indie Dance, Italo Disco and House alike.
Slump Recordings boss Baby Rollén’s ’Feeling Mumbled’ Remix is an ultimately playable DJ tool; one that renders an after hours sunrise as chords bounce of the tracks surface like rays of light while tight, nifty shuffles interlock with a bouncing bass line.
Austin Ato fleshes out some deliciously hallucinogenic Italo synths in his Remix version of ’Super Cool’ by Made In TLV.
’Acid Infatuation’ by Levantine is a sound that occupies a sweet spot between Eurodance and Italo.
Black Hawks of Panama steps in with ’Wrapped’.The ingredients are simple: a slapping disco kit, Alpha Juno, zesty guitar licks and an anthemic vocal. The result is a contagious Italo march that burrows deep under the skin; put simply - a slice of pure rapture.
'Good Times' by Renato Cohen sparks things up with bright, muscular drums that pave the way for a rasping bass line - a killer DJ tool. Raw energy is spat out while snares clash and vocals march along with an intensity that doesn't let up.
Captain Mustache’s ’Diavola’ flexes low-mid tones warble in lock step with strapping drums and an earworm synth line.
’Heart Life' by NEAT adds a further facet to the compilation with an allaying Italo-tinged groove.
In ’Neonim’ by Laroz, a gently jagged bass line bubbles away, creating a buoyant bed for expertly crafted drums which pop out with expressive alacrity. Dulcet piano tones form a bond with amber-tinged synths as warming soundscape is developed.
James Curd throws a dart straight to the dance floor with the jazz-tinged House jam ’Feeling Mumbled’ built from a classy palette of samples.
Sandhog closes the album with the highly memorable recording 'Berlin' that speaks to the power of simplicity.

Hello friends🔮! Here is a part of the recording from my 3.5 hours set at the lovely Firespace 💖. It was one more time a really nice experience for me to play here at Fusion festival, to enjoy some friends, spinners and a lot of dancing. 
Thanks to Anna, Anton, Laura and Johannes who was there and suported all the time. And a really big thanks to all firespinners and people for the such nice feedback <3! Thank you to all I had a lot of fun and a nice dance. Fusion  is always really special and beat me hard💖LOVE 💖💎

Here is the Set that i played at Fusion Festival on the Bachstelzenfloor this year. It is a quite different set from the last one. I played almost exclusively with short loops and not whole tracks, that way i sometimes would like a few more arms and hands to play, but am also able to be absolutely in the moment and create music that is exactly for that moment and those people in front of me. Playing Live is a huge challenge, but i am looking forward to keep developing and creating. 
Thanks for all the dancers and their vibes who made this what it is.

Iorie Live In Concert @ Fusion | Bachstelzen, July 2019

Als ich nach Monaten der Vorbereitungszeit das erste Mal am Donnerstag Abend in der Saloppen Katatonie stand und sie live&in Farbe in Betrieb gesehen habe bin ich vor Freude in Tränen ausgebrochen und @kotterzuer Basti um den Hals gefallen. Es war unglaublich zu sehen, wie alles, was wir an Liebe und Arbeit in dieses Projekt gesteckt haben auf einmal auf Rädern steht und fährt....und wieeeeeee Oida!!! hahahaa.... als ich dann am Ende des Festivals auch noch in dieser total verrückten Saloppen spielen durfte war ich auf jeden Fall ziemlich happy.

Ich bin überglücklich über das, was wir geschafft und geschaffen haben und möchte einfach nur Danke dafür sagen dass wir gemeinsam diese Utopie zur Realität gemacht haben!

 Es war ultra magisch!!!

Viel Spaß beim Anhören vom Set und in Erinnerungen schwelgen!

Kiev is one of the oldest cities in the world. The city has gone from periods of greatness to periods of darkness which incidentally 
could be a similar way to describe this new ep by Kiev resident ID UA.
The title of the EP seems to have a fun connotation at first glance but don't be fooled by this, the moods are quite different and
change rapidly in this one.
Thomass Jackson then brings a squeaky acidic bassline to his remix of the title track which will surely be a perfect party starter.
