Foutoir Moderne #77 | Le Coutelier

Cormac’s new label Polari strides into a new year with the brazen energy and positivity we all must be in need right now. Following delicious vinyl releases from Kiwi and Zillas On Acid, the forthcoming instalment of the new imprint delivers another delectable collection of precious themes, this time from Brazilian-in-Berlin ROTCIV (SXDNS069).

A name synonymous with House, Electronic Disco, Electro, and Italo Fusion for well over 10 years with his label Mister Mistery and releases on the likes of Full Pupp, Freeride Millenium, Luv Shack, and Massimiliano Pagliara’s Funnovejere, just to name a few, ROTCIV makes his debut on Polari with four more than stunning cuts.

From the beautiful PUR NRG EP, we were solicited to premiere/review the twisted piece “Fear”. The track ripples and glistens with the tension its name suggests, a layered beast built up around sinewy acid lines, and a voluminous slug of a bassline. It kind of differs from the core sonority of our dear ROTCIV, showing his creativity and versatility respect no boundaries.

TRAxX Lab (@traxxlabrecords) is already a reality and after our first release we are very proud to bring a powerful release from Renato Cohen (@renato-cohen), one of the biggest Brazilian references of underground electronic music. 

Cohen, that stood out back in the days with epic tracks such as Pontapé and Suddenly Funk delivered us two powerful tracks with his personal special imprint that pretty much represent the style of music we want to showcase for TRAxX Lab.
  
Fall Down is the type of house music banger very energetic that would make any dancefloor explode and go crazy. It's impossible not to dance to such a funky tune. Funkydoom, brings an acid techno dopamine releaser and would also have an immediate effect on any dancefloor around the world. We are definitely humbled and grateful to have on board such a legend like Renato Cohen providing us these amazing tunes! 

The EP also brings a beautiful remix of Funkydoom by Gustavo FK, delivering a very nice musical layers on the background reaching a deeper sensation but still funky, house and a techno touch. We can't wait to see you dropping these joints on the dance floors around the world once the parties return with safety, but meanwhile, enjoy this musical treasure.

Esta vez viene con un lanzamiento en el sello @quixoticalrecords e incluye 2 tracks originales + 4 remixes por  los productores Random Atlas, Man 2.0, Chinosynth y Poulper. 
En IRLV compartimos con gusto y emoción una premiere del track  DISEASE (Poulper Remix) 
Poulper (fundador de @quixoticalrecords) transforma la pista en una discoteca oscura latina que tiene puntos más groovier pero mantiene intacta la idea principal de la pista original. Los "loops" vocales con efectos resaltados ocupan una parte bastante importante en la remezcla y ponen un gran peso en el sonido general.

Another solid release lands on the mighty Tronik Youth’s NEIN Records, peeps! Skilled London-based producer From Beyond is definitely one of Neil’s favourite artists: Considering solo flights, collaborations, and compilations, he has appeared more than fifteen times on the British label. Here and there, Mr Beyond flirts with other vital imprints, such as Paper, Golden Soul, and Boite Music, but Nein is definitely his home.

For “Acid Projections”, his forthcoming installment, he invited some friends to be in charge of the remix pack: Spanish JG Outsider, Turkish Fat&Bald, and British REES. The virtuoso trio delivered some powerful interpretations that dignify even more the alluring release.

Premiered here, the exotic version of “Acid Projections” made with love by Ortac Genc aka Fat&Bald, whose previous works can be found on important labels such as Ombra International, Belly Dance Services, and LATIDO. In his remix, the distorted pads, the sinister synth layer, and the wry FXs brought a darker and dirtier atmosphere to the original. We liked it!

He started his career as a DJ in 1984 and as a music producer since 1992 going through various stages.  Having played live sets with Orbital in Almeria and events like EOLICA in Tenerife Islands, Aquasella Festival, Metro Alicante, Razzmatazz BCN, Palm Beach and in Paris on REX. 

JG OUTSIDER is currently immersed in the production of new tracks focused on the more retro sound and Synthwave, maintaining the essence of melodic sounds and powerful bass lines - Catch his recent releases, available on @neinrecords

Counterterraism Guest Mix 118: JG Outsider

After a release that did not go unnoticed on Ulla Records first VA “In Motion”, @austehr is back with his debut EP “Hybrid Humans”.

His first standalone project flirts with a dystopian, transhumanist and dark-disco-inspired universe. Always blending genres, he subverts the codes of rock and disco with electronic sonorities, to craft his retro-inspired yet resolutely modern sound.

The opening track “Hybrid Humans” sets the stage for the transhumanist journey to come : arpeggiated basslines, catchy leads and bouncing drums making up for an ambiguous, bitterly naive, track. But the reality check comes quickly. “Mind Threat” promptly sets for a much darker tone, with heavy driven basslines, dramatic synths and intense build-ups. “Humanity Resilience” takes this dystopian road a step further. Shaped around hypnotizing melodies, this track pushes up to the edge of rationality. “Prophecy” strikes as a final statement, fully embracing the experimental turn this journey has taken, with its heavy synths, and gnarly acid basslines !

Abandon all preconceptions you have about the future, and dive in Austher’s transhumanist story !

Blindetonation serve up another summer sizzler from French artist Sebastien Tex with big remixes by FKClub and Javi Redondo.
DJ and producer Tex brings all the rugged attitude you would expect of an artist on this DIY minded label. His punky disco is visceral and vital and comes on esteemed labels like Correspondant and La Belle Records as well as this one.
First up here is the super title track, a snaking bit of spooky dark disco with a hypnotic lead line. Tension builds around the slap-funk drums and moody bass and the whole thing is sure to get the floor to erupt. Remixing is FKClub, a skilled drummer, DJ and producer who makes mental yet visceral music that draws on anything from rock to acid. His take on ‘Mouniche’ has stiff bass stabs and sic- fi effects making it a turbulent cosmic groover.
Next is ‘The Struggles of Life’, a terrific track wired up with sinewy electronics and percolating bass. Big guitar riffs bring the menace and once the drums drop again this is a rock-tinged disco gem. Madrid’s Javi Redondo is a key player in the Spanish scene who now tours all over Europe with his genre defying sounds. He reworks it into something more urgent, with pumping drums and drunken synths tumbling down the scales to bring a brilliantly off balance feel.
Once more this is a superb package of forward looking club chuggers from Blindetonation.
