(the customary disclaimer that that's not me in this, it's a soundfont~ the me in this was tapping lots of different notes to see what the right ones were, bad listening)
my take on a piano version of the Main Theme (but not a piano version of the piano version of the main theme, though I fused a few elements)

There's a lot of different moods in this piece, but they don't clash.
It's lamenting and tense, but also triumphant and grand. It's ominous, but also full of hope. In total, it's an ideal blend that is overture to the story you're about to play and gives a perfect "buckle up" feeling for a castlevania-esque adventure that's about to embark.
