In October of this year, Bliss Point was invited to host a takeover of @radio80000 to feature the sound of the label & party. The takeover featured hourlong mixes from six artists who have payed the Bliss Point party, released on the Bliss Point label, or both.

@koichisue rounded out the takeover with an hour of melodic club sounds.

SPF 50’s Social Life EP, released in March 2023, offered refined peak sounds and atmospheric club tools that defied typical genre descriptors, and cemented him as one of the most exciting DJs and producers in New York. 

Further exploring the world conjured in Social Life, SPF 50 has invited three artists he admires greatly - Sam Goku, Davis Galvin, and James Bangura - to reimagine the EP. 

The results are stellar. Sam Goku delivers an ambient techno version of “Grove Map” with a rude acid line, Davis Galvin transforms “Body Concept” into a sub-heavy system lifter as only they can, James Bangura digs up a moody deep house groove in “Liquid USB”, and SPF 50 himself rounds out the offering with “Blind Fade”, a reworked track from the Social Life sessions replete with the deep atmosphere and understated moments he has become known for.

Bliss Point is pleased to share our next release, a reissue of Soft Keys - Bubbles, a lost and long sought after classic from Italy, 1993.

Recorded in Trieste in 1993 by Edoardo Milani and Tullio Battisti, “Bubbles (Soap Mix)” is a slice of colorful, sun-soaked euphoria, a track delightfully leftfield and playful in a way so rarely found in club music. Originally released on Italy’s Promo Music label, it was quickly lost to time, a masterpiece locked away on an extremely hard to find 12”, soon growing in notoriety among DJs and collectors.

Bliss Point’s reissue of this classic includes two remixes from contemporary luminaries, each interpreting the timeless sound of Bubbles for the 21st century. Tokyo’s boys be kko explores the soaring complexity of the original, and New Yorker Olive T offers a thumping take on its deep and tender heart. The original “Acapella” version is also included.

Bubbles will be available to the public only on vinyl to start.

Bliss Point is proud to present Ta Kish Kan, an EP from DJ, producer and multidisciplinary artist Sol León. Ta Kish Kan is their debut release as aka-Sol, a name that consolidates many years of creativity, collaboration and exploration through various monikers and projects.

Ta Kish Kan is an explosion of color, a defiant rush of life. Over three tracks, aka-Sol has turned their psychedelic approach to sound toward the punk roots of electronic music, employing modular synthesizers and analog sonics to recapture the energy from before dance became homogenized and hard genre lines were drawn, challenging the conventions of modern club music and embracing a wider and more dynamic spectrum of human emotion.

The release is rounded out with a remix from @osare.editions head @elenacolombi who further explores the space between experimental, post-punk and club music, dispensing with comfort and bidding us to embrace what lies beyond.

Vinyl pre-order is live now, and the release will be available on streaming services this Friday, October 4.

The full Nagasawa EP will be available digitally and on limited edition 12” vinyl Friday, September 5.

Nagasawa kicks off with a bang. “ChuKii” is a peak time heater: breaks, chopped vocals and punchy toms sear over a low end groove that proves body music can funk. Melodic acid explodes like a firework mid-track, taking the dance floor to psychedelic new heights.

The club psychedelia continues with “Mold Mold”, a minimal, subterranean system roller adorned with swells, bells, and deep, guttural growls dubbed to the vanishing point.

“Sant Esteve (kko Edit)” is melancholic and contemplative jazz house, eschewing cliché and twinging with nostalgia for that moment you felt most free.

“Humor is an important part of my music”, boys be kko reflected over lunch as Izakaya smoke billowed past his face. “Oignon”, the fourth and final track on Nagasawa, is an airy and joyful cut of sampledelia that makes good on this promise. An enormous smile of a track, it sends listeners off with a slice of sonic sunshine and, dare we say, hope.

I am proud to welcome DJ and producer Monolithic to the Bliss Point mix series.

Some time ago I was asked by Mechanical Records to join them for an evening in the Public Records Sound Room. It was then that I first came across Jun, known musically as Monolithic. He played before me on the massive PR system to a crew of very appreciative and engaged dancers. I stood at the merch table at the back of the room with Jakub The Ear and took it all in. It sounded fantastic. I hadn’t met Jun yet - he was hidden behind the small window in the booth, obscured by the flickering shadows of club lighting. I met his music before I met his person, and I was moved!

After that evening I dug deeper, and found that as both a DJ and producer, Jun had developed an impressive sound of his own. His latest release, Voicemail, exhibits exactly the kind of floating feeling I look for in dance music. Give it a listen and tell me you’re not a few inches off the floor at 2:41.

I was so glad when Jun agreed to come on the Bliss Point mix series. The session was one of the most fun we’ve had in a while, with friends old and new swinging by the studio. Things are quite well right now.

Next up on Bliss Point is "Fp" / "Riza", two expertly crafted house cuts from Ko Yang, a DJ, producer and promoter out of Kyoto, Japan.

A founding member of the long running City Boy Lounge parties in Osaka, Ko Yang and friends have hosted a number of familiar names - Axel Boman, Soichi Terada, Shinichiro Yokota, and Fatima Yamaha, to name a few.

CBL is a homegrown affair. The crew bring their own system to the back of a cafe once a month to heat up the early half of a good night out. “After the party finishes, everyone relaxes outside the cafe,” Ko Yang writes. “Then they miss the last train and head to the nightclub.”

“Our party is the warm up for night. That’s our responsibility for music culture in Osaka.”

I’m excited to welcome Ko Yang into the Bliss Point family with "Fp" / "Riza", two exquisite dance floor constructions from a well seasoned DJ and party person.

Bliss Point is proud to welcome NY producer Duane Island to the roster with Solar Effect, three enormous and heartfelt club excursions, combining elements of trance, italo and disco to pack as much life as possible into one release.

The title track, “Solar Effect”, twists in on itself like a trip peaking at noon, pairing squelching FM synth lines with airy piano chords to get hands in the air, feet off the ground, and heads in the clouds. “Figo Dream” is an afternoon bike ride through a lifted and euphoric dreamscape, anchored by a pulsing bass line that changes course at just the right moment. “Olio” cruises back to earth by sunset, with cheeky keys and voices from dancefloors past beckoning for another go round.
