In six short episodes attention is given to doors and fences. You are taken to the women’s peace camp that was set up around the parameter fence at RAF Greenham Common in the UK, the steel slatted border-fence of US-Mexican border, the separation barriers surrounding Gaza and the West Bank and, finally, the closed doors confining women in Afghanistan. En route, the presence of the ‘space of the world’ makes itself felt and shows that, for all the barring, prejudice and sheer hatred, here is also and always elsewhere.

Alt-pop, folk edges, electronic shine.

Bliss Carmxn is the project of Canadian-born, London-based artist Adam Kaasa, weaving together electro shimmer, piano ballads, and folk textures into a sound both intimate and expansive. Drawing comparisons to Perfume Genius, Paul Simon, and Caroline Polachek, Bliss moves between dancefloor pulse and reflective storytelling.

Their debut EP Hold My Hand And I’ll Hold Yours (2024) won critical acclaim — Clash praised its “spellbinding textures” and Mystic Sons highlighted its “soaring atmosphere and stellar vocals.” Early singles like Powder (BBC London premiere) and Call Me By My Name established Bliss’s presence on Berlin’s Wicked Hag label and cultivated an international remix network.

Live performances have spanned from London’s Waiting Room (sold-out EP launch) to a first Canadian tour in 2025, with shows in Edmonton, Calgary, and Toronto.

The upcoming EP Open Love (March 2026) marks a new chapter, moving beyond disco-pop polish toward folk-influenced, storytelling-driven arrangements. Its lead single Caffeine Orange drops September 2025.

Bliss’s practice also extends into interdisciplinary work: selected for Moonbound (the first artbook set to land on the Moon in 2026) and creating the score and album for When the Clarion Came to Call, a dance-opera premiering in London in late 2025.
