We met Sweater (Lucas) in Philadelphia during the summer of 2021 when Taimur was there for a weekend for a Blkmarket x Subsurface warehouse party. We exchanged contacts during the trip and he had mentioned he had a bunch of unreleased music to check out. 

His productions caught our ears immediately and are in a league of it’s own. 

We knew it right away it was fitting for our label. 

Lucas is also a wicked DJ, and a record clerk at Impressions Philly record shop.

We are excited to share this new release with the world. 

A five track 12” spanning the realms of Breakbeat, Techno and Tech-house.

Mama is here. This producer hailing from Italy has been making waves in the underground music community landing a strong string of releases on the prolific labels for you to check out. Now it is time for him to present to the world of “Sottopasso”, the 4 track EP with quite wide range of sound yet all absolutely in line with vision of the label and with utmost touch of freshness starting from A1 and finishing to B2. All the tracks names are with Italian flavor and is very close to the artist’s heart and resonate with the memories and experiences that personally shaped the man we are witnessing today. The artwork as always executed by the legend of the graffiti art Gkoner, which is showing a spooky entrance that one is about to enter if one dares too. A seasoned veteran DJ for over 25 years, he's done it all. Taimur conceived the infamous Blk|Market Membership parties in NYC from 2006-2017 and was a resident DJ. He was the head dance buyer and started the US distribution wing for many US labels at Halcyon Records shop from 2008 until 2016. Taimur’s work helped lead the resurgence of the local Brooklyn scene. With 18+ years of history and accolades for helping to revive one of the world’s most important dance music scenes, Taimur and Blk|Market Membership holds a highly esteemed position as architects of New York’s contemporary scene.

On the strength of these accomplishments, Taimur has devoted himself full-time to his DJ & production career and currently resides in Miami. He launched his vinyl only record label Blkmarket Music with wife Ostara in 2018 which features releases by Reade Truth, a 2 part Craig Richards's lost tracks with remixes by Rhadoo, Subb-an & Adam Shelton and more ; a collab between Taimur with Miami electro legend Gosub, two T.A.O (Taimur.Amo.Ostara) Ep's 'Enter your Mind' and 'Return to Life' EPs, Toronto's Hypnotic Mindscapes trio Payphone featuring Cosmic JD, an electro ep by JLM Werx, dancefloor jams by Thailand's DOTT, and Reade Truth’s sophomore 6 track mini album 'The Beauty of the Dark.' The latest release is his latest collaboration Taimur x Artro - Mindframe. 

He's also just started his new sub label Blkmarket Music Underground Party Edits with Ostara that focuses on DJ club edits. The first release was by DJ Spun's - Party Edits [BUMP-E000]

Forthcoming confirmed label(s) releases include T.A.O's 'Dreama' 2x12" Legends remix double pack, Buraye's 3 x 12" ‘Holographic Visitors’ Album, and EP by Taimur & Jean Pierre, Jay Tripwire, Facets, DJ Sweater, Francula, Oswaldo, Snuffo, Manuk, and Jovi & Alessandro just to name a few.

Between his record label(s), DJing gigs and producing, Taimur has also opened up a vinyl emporium with Ostara in Miami. T Bag Records Shop Miami was born on April 10 2021 and is a vinyl shop that is dedicated to strictly underground dance music of many genres both new, old and rare.
