"Charlotte de Witte, without doubt one of Belgium's fastest rising talents in the techno circuit, and known from two strong EP's on Tiga's Turbo label, makes her debut on OFF.

The EP starts off with 'Trip', aptly name due to its cinematic sound design and arrangement. Charlotte's trademark use of vocals ooze character, and haunting synths complemented by a laidback but steady drum-foundation are the ingredients of this track.

Sweden's Techno-legend Cari Lekebusch delivers the first remix, a functional and linear interpretation, which is sure to be heard on festival dancefloors during the late summer.

TWR72 of Amsterdam, themselves very much what you would call a 'current breakthrough act', are responsible for remix number two, a contemporary interpretation based on syncopated rhythms.

The EP is completed with 'Repeat', a reduced drum-tool built around a repetitive vocal hook.

Altogether a strong statement of a promising young artist and another proof of the ongoing evolution of OFF Recordings."

Ghost in the Machine returns to continue their adventures in the world of acid-fueled industrial techno. This second release on Genosha Basic sees them further exploring, stretching, establishing and reestablishing the boundaries of their own sound. Dirtier kicks, cleaner kicks, deeper kicks, techier techno and even more acidic acid. They even managed to sneak a track onto this release that doesn't use a 303. A very bold move which will undoubtedly have far-reaching consequences for the future of future dance music. Recommended purchase for those who like buying music.

Best remixes happen when the initiative comes from the very own remixer, instead of by commission. This denotes admiration and respect to the original artist, as well as a necessity to provide your own vision to an already consolidated work. 

Berghain´s resident Kobosil delivers strong dancefloor instances blending his unique understanding of the Berliner techno with Zanias’s vocals. Agency is the new solo project of half of Operant band August Skipper. His debut track offers a mature evolution that guides the listener from a percussive beginning till a high pressured synthed end. In case one track is not enough to be remixed, Dax J's raved version increases the BPMs in a mixture of "Follow The Body" and "In Eternal Return". The closing track is signed by Unhuman and brings the original EBM atmosphere back to the record.

Not much to say about this one, have been playing it all over, maybe the best track I’ve ever made. I guess it has so much inside, it's full of power and things to say, dedicated to someone very special and to a moment in my life. It can touch anybody out there with similar experiences, however, it is always achieving its purpose.

Over the past four years, Hayden Payne aka Phase Fatale has earned a reputation as a techno innovator, both for the broad spectrum of dystopian electronics included in DJ sets as well as his deep understanding of synthesis and sound design in his own productions. Having previously released on labels such as Jealous God, Payne made his Unterton debut with last year’s Anubis EP. Since then he has settled into residences at both Berghain in Berlin and Khidi in Tbilisi, released his first LP on Hospital Productions and kicked off his own label BITE with a collaborative EP between himself and Silent Servant.

On his debut 4-track EP for Ostgut Ton, Reverse Fall, The New York native has sharpened the rhythmic contours of his productions, creating an imposing wall of sound within the techno framework. Inspired in part by Crash, J.G. Ballard's dystopian novel on the fetishization of car crashes, Reverse Fall is uncompromising motorized, cybernetic techno – infused with haunting soundtrack-like flourishes reminiscent of films by directors John Carpenter and Dario Argento.

A night drive accelerating at the pace of a dark, melodic bassline and distorted hi-hats. “Reverse Fall” is available across streaming platforms, as a single track and as an instant gratification download with the purchase of the full digital release.

Charlotte de Witte continues to establish herself as a driving force on the contemporary techno scene with The Healer, her second EP on seminal British imprint Novamute. 

The four tracker comes after the Belgian has fully broken through with a dark, dense and driving sound that is proudly unrelenting. Her meteoric rise has come off the back of a series of huge productions, plus standout sets at key festivals and clubs all around the world. 

Charlotte’s fresh and innovative sound is immediately laid bare on opener ‘The Healer’, with eight minutes of spine-tingling, hypnotic techno. The sleek drums and icy hi-hats soon cast their spell, as well-crafted synths unfold up top to bring real emotion. ‘Silence’ is another slice of tunnel vision techno with perfectly designed drums rolling on and synths peeling off the groove. It’s trance inducing and otherworldly, with eerie voices adding to the all-consuming atmosphere. 

Then comes ‘Kuda’, a track built on monstrous kicks that hit hard and drive forward with real force. Filtered vocals bring character, and sharp edged percussion grows ever louder to take the track, and the club, to the next level. Last of all, ‘Song Of The Wood Nymphs’ shows another side to the producer with three minutes of suspensory synths and expansive ambient sounds that are filled with drama and tension.
