Dennesha Henderson, born in Stamps, Arkansas, and later recognized as the esteemed Kiddy Sangs, shares a common origin with the renowned Dr. Maya Angelou, both hailing from the same childhood hometown. Notable for her chart-topping singles such as "Bye," "I Wish U Luv Me," and "TYS," among others, Kiddy Sangs initially pursued aspirations within the realms of R&B and hip-hop. However, a transformative realization led her to the discovery that her musical essence resonates most authentically within the genre of Southern soul.
