Out May 1st 2014 as a free download release of John Graham aka Quivver's latest cover project featuring Angel Hart of Gwen Guthrie's 1986 R&B dance classic "Ain't Nothin' Goin' On But The Rent”, the extended radio mix will be available for free download, with the full EP released on Boz Boz Records coming out mid May. "Ain't Nothin' Goin' On But the Rent" is a follow up of Quivver feat. Angel Hart's "I Don't Want To Wait" hit release last summer on Toolroom Records. Quivver's cover stays true to the original groove but with a big room house sound, while his dub goes deeper with chopped up vocal hooks and bouncing bassline. Angel's vocal retains the attitude of the original but with her own clean crisp delivery.

On Our Way to Ozora we continue our journey into a world of zen and creatures within, to catch a glimpse of what the Chill Out Dome will have in store for us this summer. Daniel Rosado and Henrique Palhavã are bringing you the sounds of Zen Baboon. Tune in on 7th June 2014 Saturday 5pm CET on the Chill channel.

Zen Baboon is composed by Daniel Rosado and Henrique Palhavã. 

Both were born in the 70`s in Portugal and since an early age kept a close connection with the music world. Musically and without mention any names and styles, both love projects with great sound quality and with original construction.

Daniel is a sound engineer that worked in a Lisbon studio for National Geographic documentaries and started producing electronic music in the late 90′s.

Henrique, a zoologist, lives and works in his own farm. Started as dj, (dj henriq to name him) and producer in 2001. They got together in 2003 and decided to melt their musical preferences and create Zen Baboon.

With several tracks on VA compilations, their first album “Suber” was released on Electrik Dream records in 2013. They work basically apart and with the same software, keeping the continuous learning process awake.

"Babylon (Akkadian: Bābili or Babilim; Arabic: بابل‎, Bābil) was a significant city in ancient Mesopotamia, in the fertile plain between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. The city was built upon the Euphrates and divided in equal parts along its left and right banks, with steep embankments to contain the river's seasonal floods. Babylon was originally a small Semitic Akkadian city dating from the period of the Akkadian Empire c. 2300 BC."

I'm impressed by what people back then did. I mean, all of this stuff happened WAY before Christ, and all of us still benefit from the cultural wealth and technical inventions of that time. Since no one knows many things about Babylon for sure, I invented a sonic story about it. Any cheese, dark- or foolishness in the track is intended. It's a fantasy story.

I used original instruments from back then (paired with modern electronics), which may have sounded different, but again: no one knows that. This piece of music is my interpretation of things. Maybe you enjoy it, I hope you do. :-)

On Vogelmann's last album "Aquarius" (fourth part of the GOD cycle) he released the track "Long Road To Self" which drew my attention being somewhat clubby but still full of feeling. I tried to emphasize that melancholic touch with a bit more melody in my remix but keeping it progressive. I hope I did well and you like it!
