CallumCantSleep - Andara (Original Mix)

Sydney and Los Angeles based Classical Pianist/Composer Van-Anh Nguyen and DJ/Drummer/Producer Mark Olsen blend their two worlds together to form a unique dreamy mix of acoustic and electro sounds. Ranging from ambient soundscapes to Melodic House, Double Touch brings their live musicianship deep into their creations.

Double Touch are official All Day I Dream artists with multiple releases and performances at the All Day I Dream events around the world. Their shows are a unique blend of a traditional DJ set and live performances, adding in live keys and drums, improvising new directions into their music during their live sets. The synergy and connection between the two are contagious from the stage.

After Lee Burridge played 3 Double Touch songs in his MIXLAB NYC set, Double Touch emerged onto the scene in 2019 with their debut EP on All Day I Dream – “Adagio” which took out the No.1 releases spot on Beatport (Electronica/Downtempo) as well as appeared in the Top 100’s in other genres. Since then, they have released everything from downtempo music on Buddha Bar, through to their club-style on TrybesOf. Their Chorophobia EP (TrybesOf) hit Top 5 (Melodic House/Techno) on Beatport. Their debut single “Broken Paradise was also featured on a Ministry of Sound compilation CD.

Double Touch has performed their DJ set with live instrumentation at events all around the globe, including Return to Rio Festival 2019 (Australia), Cercle (Omnia Indonesia), Golden Gate Park (San Francisco, USA), Cloud 9 (Fiji), Glow Rooftop (Vietnam) and Omnia Bali (Indonesia)

Our hearing range is 20 - 20000Hz. This is a 7,83Hz binaural beat. Binaural beats are created by having to different frequencies in stereo (one left and one right), where the difference between the two create one frequency together. Here´s an example: the left frequency is set to lets say 170hz, and the right frequency is set to 177, 83hz. The difference between the two (177,83 - 170 = 7,83) creates the frequency of the binaural beat. 170Hz is a frequency we easily can hear. Binaural beats can be created at a lower or higher frequencies than this within the 20Hz - 20000Hz range. So if we took 528Hz on the left, and 532 Hz on the right, we would create a 4Hz theta binaural beat. Hope this info clears up any confusion.

These sounds were recorded mostly near Dacula and Atlanta, GA. The Binaural Beats on this go from a relaxed 6hz to a morning "wake up" of 10hz.  I have also just read that 10hz was good for stimulating the brain to release serotonin and good if you may be suffering from depression. Yahoooo...Enjoy!!  

Binaural beats are a way of synchronizing your brain waves (which are measured in hertz) with the hertz of the binaural beat. The brain has a frequency following response which causes this to occur. This works best with headphones and is useful for meditation or relaxation. In this case I created three binaural beats. Each section is 10 minutes long and the beginnings are marked with the hits of the singing bowl. The tone is F# 182.3 hz.

Theta - 8hz-4hz - a very meditative state or getting drowsy and drifting off, if your sleepy)

Delta - 4hz and below - deep sleep or a very deep meditative state. Buddhist Monk's brainwaves have been measured in this state during meditation.
