It's a song about making a decision to approach a problem from a different angle. “You’re looking for a pattern that isn’t there”. Staring at long shadows in the afternoon sunlight and accepting the possibility of feeling better and rediscovering simple joys. Winter being as much filled with the promise of light as it is with darkness.

Easy answers are addictive and it’s hard to absorb complications, but it helps, and we can emerge on the other side of problems intact, and maybe stronger than before (some of the time at least).

Basically though, we’ve done a new song with the word Winter in it, so it seemed like a good idea to release it now, and thankfully Lost Map were up for it.
