Mixmaster Doc is a name synonymous with the deeper, more atmospheric side of North American Drum and Bass. For over two decades, the Charleston-based producer and DJ has been a cornerstone of the stateside movement, known for a signature sound that bridges the gap between gritty urban textures and lush, soulful liquid.
With a discography spanning prestigious labels like 31 Records, Innerground, Fokuz, and Integral, Doc has earned the respect of the genre's pioneers and its new guard alike. Whether he’s crafting rolling basslines or intricate, jazz-inflected breakbeats, his music is defined by a "grown-up" sensibility—sophisticated enough for the headphones, but engineered for the system. In an era of disposable digital sounds, he creates music meant to last.His collaborative works with artists like Random Movement and his celebrated solo works showcase a producer who isn't afraid to let a groove breathe. Doc’s music doesn't just fill a dancefloor; it builds an environment.

Dave Shichman (Vocals, Music, Production), Dan Brady aka Mixmaster Doc (Production, Percussion), and Bernie ‘Bernzilla’ Kenerson (EWI), have come together to create a new vocal-driven downtempo project entitled BLOOM FOCUSED. Textured with deep melodies and maintaining a dark, electronic edge, the music draws inspiration from the Jazz, Folk, Downtempo, Drum & Bass, and Pop. This collaborative music pushes boundaries, crosses tempos, and steps outside of the conventional dance floor music while retaining the groove and flow these three individuals are known for: deep bass, groovy, funky drums, and a hint of dark dissonance.

Blockwork is a new Drum and Bass collaboration between 2 well known members of the DnB community on both sides of the ocean. Luke EP (Blackpool, England) has been Deejaying and promoting DnB events in the UK for nearly 10 years and producing for nearly as long. Dave Shichman (New York City, USA) has 15 years behind the decks, 10+ years producing, 30+ releases to his name mostly DnB with a bit of downtempo/bass music. Together as Blockwork, their sound is Drum & Bass in almost all its many flavors, from deep liquid rollers, to harder dancefloor smashers, back to funky half-step; the music is diverse and unique. The 2 members of Blockwork are passionate about creating special, timeless music and have a lot planned for 2015 including music out on Fokuz Recordings, Influenza Media and Driven AM and Remixes by Random Movement and Instant.
