Rat Life Records presents Serial Error a Project by Credit 00, Jacob Korn & Sneaker. This outfit was brought to life in 2013 when Red D called for some New Beat style tracks for his "Our Beat Is Still New" Compilation. Flying a bit too low under the radar ever since Rat Life decided to reissue Drum Abuse on a Super Sound Maxi Single. The Track was made in Jacob Korn's headquarter studio / synthesizer museum. The task distribution was hit quickly: Jacob squeezing the acid out of his huge Formant modular system, Credit 00 beating the drums on the Boss DR 660 and Sneaker throwing his unique vocals on top!

Following on from the huge success of Compute Riddim w/ Killa P & Badness we had to get 9TRANE back on board for 1FGRM002 with his newest track for us entitled ‘Assault’ which came out March 5th and was supported by Toddla T on BBC Radio 1. Appletize is the follow up single from this release as a free download. Initially a dub for the 140 maestro's sets, the reaction the bootleg of this UK Funky classic had was huge so we thought we should give it away for the masses to enjoy. Yet more support coming from Toddla T (BBC Radio 1) as well as Marcus Nasty (Rinse FM), Travis T (Radar Radio), Benteki (Reprezent) & Shapes to name a few.

Since his last release with us in June 2017 he’s continued to supply DJ’s with the heat with further plays across Radar Radio, BBC 1Xtra & Reprezent Radio. The Norwich producer has also had another release entitled ‘Skeleton’ on the south coast’s critically acclaimed Southpoint. Having performed at one of the largest underground festivals of 2017, ‘Trajections Festival’ (Bristol) he heated up the dance for the likes of Jammz, Big Zuu & Jack Dat which lead to further bookings back home alongside Champion & Murlo. He also joined us for the 1st time in Leeds at our takeover for UP4 at Mint Warehouse in November.

The start of 2018 see’s 9TRANE back in the 1Forty realms despite discovering his love for UK Funky which you may see an original release of from him on the Label later this year..

Side A’s 'Tusk' is a beautiful paradox—rhythm programs that churn like the inner workings of a grandfather clock, unmistakably mechanical, yet fashioned through muted analogue instrumentation that paints a deceptively organic picture. The crystallized jangle of FM synth voices toy with the softened drum patterns and vibrant animal-like chord gestures over nearly seven minutes of splendor. On side B, 'Aku' digs further into mysticism, manifesting digital jungle themes, cleverly abstracted through erratic bleeps, distant tribal drums, atonal flutters and synthetic bird calls. The cinematic quality of Clevelands production shines through both tracks, but its 'Aku' that sweeps us from reality to embark on a moonlit expedition in search long lost treasures, proving Cleveland a virtuoso skilled in building complex narratives with sound. These two songs will modulate your frequencies.
