Hello Everyone! PFG is back in the air again with our weekly exclusive Progcast. Scouring the globe for those perfect progressive sounds, our search takes us from one of the worlds clubbing hotspots, all the way north in the blink of an eye to another world renowned city, Montreal! 

Here we've come across a properly talented DJ, who in a short space of time has made her mark and left it indelibly on those who have heard her play. She not only covers all the genres in a set, but masters the art of mixing them together as well.

Julie Petrecca was born in 1981 in Montreal, Canada. Since childhood she was introduced to music, as she practically grew up in the recording studio owned by her father! He quickly transmitted his passion and his interest for the world of music to his daughter, and the rest is history.

Into her late teens, Julie discovered Electronica and her passion for music grew even more. In all the years since, she has kept the connection to electronic musical culture strong. In our particular universe, Julie's tastes developed in several categories of our underground music scene.  Deep House, Funky House, Jackin, Electronica, Organic House, Progressive House... can all be found in a Petrecca mix! 

Since February 2015, Julie has hosted her own weekly show ‘’The So What! Radioshow’’ presenting DJs and DJ/Producers from all around the world. And she’s also involved in her Family radio, ‘’Radio Webphré’’ a community web-based station  located around Quebec in Canada.

Mariano Montori is an Argentinian DJ / Producer in constant growth on the scene.
His productions have been recognized and supported by great artists such as Hernán Cattaneo, Nick Warren, John Digweed, Khen,Guy Mantzur, Lonya, Marcelo Vasami,Soundexile, Mariano Mellino, Kevin Di Serna, Amonita, HOJ, Facundo Mohrr, Armen Miran,Nicolas Rada, Paul Deep among other international artists.
He shared a booth in important clubs and events in Buenos Aires with local DJs, such as Martín García, Marcelo Vasami, Kevin Di Serna, Mike Griego, Juan Hansen, Mariano Mellino, Simón Vuarambon, Interaxxis and Fernando Ferreyra. And with international Djs like Eran Aviner, Andrea Cassino, MUUI, Kollektiv Turmstrasse and Garden Of God.
In 2018 he made his first Europe tour and managed to bring his sound to some of the main scenes of electronic music: Moscow, Antwerp, Berlin and Barcelona.

Spirit & the Guide is the Progressive House music project of Shanghai based DJs “Super Mario” and
“Roberto Frattini”.
From India and Switzerland respectively, the duo began their friendship in the dance-floor first, sharing
their decades long passion and appreciation for progressive and electronic sounds.
Fate brought them together performing as DJs in several occasions, eventually leading to the decision of
uniting their musical influences and visions into a LIVE & Production Project; enter Spirit & the Guide.
With each of them bringing and complementing the new-born project with unique influences from their
own personal musical background, fusing different elements resulting in a synth-full sound filled with
mystery, mysticism and groove, reminiscent of global sounds gathered in years spent on dance floors.
The infusion of ethnic vibes into their productions has become a signature trait of their music, creating
inspiring, introspective and uplifting sensations.
Focusing on mostly day-time and sundowner sounds, since their debut the duo has been steadily
releasing on a number of high-profile labels around the world, always grabbing very positive feedbacks
form listeners and other producers alike.

Simos Tagias was born and raised in 1982 in the city of Serres, located in the North of Greece. His name has been well connected with high quality electronic dance music since 2012, from Progressive to Tech House and Techno.

He first started getting experience in House music and rhythms in the mid 1990s, a passion for the music that lead him into performing his very first mixes as a DJ in private, underground parties.

His love for Electronic music expanded while working on his very first studio projects in the early 2010s, which quickly attracted the interests of labels like Change Audio, Modu and Lynx Records. This has continued right up to the present day, Simos can now count top class releases on labels like Proton, UV/FSOE, Sudbeat, Clubsonica , Beatfreak Recordings and Movement Recordings. These tracks receive great support from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Cid Inc, Guy J, Sasha, John Digweed and more!

The last year has seen important gigs starting up in the Greek scene, in the north such as Movement Events @ Block33 (Thessaloniki), and Bloque Festival(Kavala). Here Simos shares the decks with artists from around the world including Guy J, Moshic, Luis Junior, Scotty A, Navar, Estroe and more.

Nowadays, Simos gets busy working on limited and well-focused studio projects, as well as these gigs around the country. There is news and projects to be seen and heard in the near future, so keep an eye on him!

Chris Cargo started his production career in the late 1990s, and is best known for his Progressive, Deep and Melodic House vibes. Indeed, Chris has almost 200 productions to his name, on labels such as Automatic Records, The Soundgarden, Plattenbank, Armada Music, Kosmo, Mango Alley, Movement, and his own label – If You Wait - amongst others. His music has been showcased by DJ giants including  John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Howells, Steve Lawler, Nick Warren, Laurent Garnier, and Carl Cox.

On the DJ circuit, Chris has toured around the world, from Shangai to Zurich, Amsterdam, Moscow, Kuala Lampur and Paris.

Chris Cargo has been around the block, and he still has a lot to give. We are so grateful for this exclusive guest mix, with a ton of his own remixes and originals included, Institution 070: Chris Cargo!
