Words from A Friend Of Marcus Aka, Tony Plowman: 
This mix was quite challenging to put together but at the same time it was super fun to do. 

I think 3:33 Sessions is a great concept for a show so I spent about a week going through music and putting tracks into a folder, and I think I ended up with enough to last me about 6 hours! The real challenge for this mix was deciding what direction to go in, and when; as I love to mix up the styles that I play and with 3hrs and 33mins to play with, there’s a lot of choices to make. 

I ended up with a mix of basically two halves… The first half focuses more on an underground melodic house vibe with the second half being focussed on a deeper, darker, melodic techno sound - both are sounds which I love to play. 

The mix features recent releases from Nandu, Agents of Time, Hardt Antoine, Pional, Adam Port, Shiffer, Pig & Dan, Joyce Muniz as well as unreleased tracks from Gheist, Keinemusik, Henry Saiz, Edu Imbernon, Sascha Braemer, Reset Robot, as well as a couple of my own productions including my next release which is out in May on Renaissance. There’s a few classics thrown in (see if you can pick them!) as well as tracks that just don’t seem to leave my record box like Tunnelvisions – Mirrored Identities, Mind Against’s Celestial Dub of SCB – Test Tubes, and Radioslave’s remix of Apparat – Caronte. I’ve also included tracks by Melbourne producers Charles Oliver and William Kiss, both of whom I’ve been big fans of for some time, both amazing tunes on this mix.

I’ve finished the mix with a tribute to our dearly departed friend and legend of scene PQM who sadly passed away recently. He will be sorely missed and my thoughts go out to his family, friends and fans, not only in Melbourne but all around the world. 

I’d like to thank Flow Music for coming up with such a thoughtful, artist focussed, Australian focussed concept; and for including me so early in the series. I hope you enjoy this mix as much I enjoyed putting it together.

Stimming Live at Bloop London Radio - 14.10.22

Recording of my set at Dreamscape (Dutch decompression 2022) held at Radion Amsterdam. As the opening act on the main stage I played a mix of organic house and melodic techno with lot’s of funkyness of course.

The settings of the recording device were not entirely correct, so unfortunately there is a small cracklesound hearable at times. Sorry about that, if you don't focus on it, then luckily it doesn't stand out and it's a nice set to listen to.

Born in Newcastle in the North of England, a place steeped in dance music heritage, JOBE was initiated into the club scene at an early age.Despite ‘getting involved’ most weekends, and surrounding himself with other music heads, it wasn’t until his close friend was given turntables for Christmas that he realised he wanted to embark on a career in music.

Many years later, with countless hours of vinyl hunting under his belt, he was DJing in the local bars and clubs of Leicester where he attended university. Despite enjoying his years in Leicester, recognising it as the place he truly evolved musically, he longed for more and decided to take the right steps to progress further in the scene.

He wanted to pursue the full time career, however he realised that the scene had evolved over recent years, and in order to play at the more prestigious venues it was vital to have a strong output as a producer, as well as a DJ.However at this point, he had never even considered music production, but recognised it as the most pivotal step to becoming a successful DJ. So he made the bold decision, which seemed counterintuitive at the time, to step back from the decks and spend the next few years learning music production.

After 3 years of self tuition, the biggest change came when he took an Ableton course online. Something seemed to click. He began to get recognition for his music, something he had longed for for many years.Having spent the last few years making music, record labels began to show interest, and the next few months saw successful releases on the likes of Electronque Digital, SinQ Records and Sleazy Deep. He started working with the Underground Agency, alongside Finnebassen, Demarzo, Raffa FL, Dale Howard and Him_Self_Her. 

It was through the Underground Agency that he was finally given the opportunity to DJ globally.Having reached #2 in the NuDisco charts with ‘The Jam’, and with successful releases on Underground Audio, Runnin Wild, Akbal Music and Connaisseur Recordings, 2013 is set to be a pivotal year where he aims to firmly establish himself in the underground house music scene. Despite producing mainly within the realms of house music, when DJ’ing he is totally unconcerned with the constraints of genre and entirely fixated on uncovering music that is both timeless and forward-thinking.

Passing through the city ahead of her gig at The Steelyard a few days prior, Toronto based artist 'juSt b' dropped into the Bloop London studio for a in house live 1 hour guest mix. Broadcasted live from the heart of Central London. 

This year has been one of big milestones for the girl who left the quiet capital of Ottawa and moved to the big city of Toronto 6 years ago to see what could come of her love affair with electronic music. 

Coming fresh off her third European tour since July, including three appearances at the renowned Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), juSt b is one of Canada's most dedicated & versatile of musical curators.

A genuine story-teller at heart, she delicately blends a diverse array of styles & emotions from beautiful, edgy deep tech, down-tempo, techno, melodic & tribal house, breakbeat, deep house, and progressive.

With features for highly respected collectives such as THUMP, Berlin's Getting Deeper, Melody Lab London, Berlin's Afterhour Sounds, Melodic Deep Amsterdam, Berlin Deep Selected, and Miami's Electronic Groove, juSt b made her IglooFest debut in 2018 alongside Sasha & Digweed and has new productions & vocal work coming soon. 

She's also a published writer for multiple electronic magazines and is the new manager of the rapidly growing promo label & collective, Melodic Deep.
