A core member and resident of the Freerotation Festival, Tom Ellis has been releasing funk & jazz inspired house & techno since 2003.

Born in the small town of Dolgellau, North Wales in the early 80s, he began learning guitar around the age of 13. With a Dad involved in the Free Party scene, and an older brother who was already DJing at the local parties, he was inspired to move from playing in rock bands towards making more electronic music with his close friend, Leif.

Hypnotic Archives is a new mix series that features old recordings of DJ and Live sets from years agone. 

Kaelo Ghallagher is a Toronto based music producer and DJ since 1997. He produced amazing records under the alias JK47 among others. We are happy to share a bit of Toronto's underground club history, recorded live, un-edited, 22 years ago. 

This is a Live PA recorded in Toronto, at Breathe/System Soundbar 21 December, 2001. Using 2 Roland MC-505s and a Yamaha SU700 Sampler. 

All original Kaelo songs with the exception of “Run” written and produced by DJ Jet aka Jesse Goldfarb.

“I felt very honoured to be invited to Waha again after a two year break. I would like to say thanks to Tudor and Monica and the whole crew. I was so overwhelmed by the reaction of the audience, just fantastic. Thanks to everybody, who was there, danced and shared these moments. Thanks to Bucuresti Underground to give me the possibility to share it again with you I hope this one feeds your memory again with all the love and peace we all felt at Waha. 

As you can hear my performance has some quite controversial moments like in the beginning, a recording I did on a protest march in Berlin, a moment, when the situation was escalating nearly. I mean we should not take love and peace for granted or democracy or life at all. We sometimes have to fight for our ideals and values, for equal rights, for freedom, for tolerance, for others or for nature and definitely we have to fight against fascism, racism, oppression, exploitation and so on. This all is very important for me and this is also a part of my music. Waha 2019 was such a great experience for me. I received so much love and all you gave me so much motivation to continue what I do. Thanks you very much!
