BRP 302 - CRISTINA LAZIC

Born in Italy, raised in London and currently based in Milan, Cristina Lazic started playing the piano when she was six, grew up composing music and is now leading two parallel careers, working as Marketing Manager at Google and having achieved widespread and international success as a musical artist.

Despite her fairly recent experience as a DJ and producer, in only five years Cristina was able to perform at iconic clubs and festivals like Exit, Get Lost Miami, Opium Dublin, Magazzini Generali in Milan and this summer she is holding a monthly residency at the prestigious Hï Ibiza, opening for Damian Lazarus during Saturdays with Black Coffee. Cristina’s talent has also been spotted by top renowned labels like Crosstown Rebels’ Rebellion, Bondage Music, Likeminded and Creature Records, who have released Cristina’s tunes and remixes. Her peculiar selection of music and music acumen have also brought Cristina to be featured on renowned international radios, like Ibiza Global, Sonica, Pure Ibiza and Data Transmission. 

Being aware of the issues that female professionals can face in male dominated industries like tech and music, Cristina has the vision that she can make a difference in music for women, and mothers in particular, since she is a mother herself. She is part of shesaid.so, the world leading community of women in the music industry, where she leads the parenthood committee’s efforts to safeguard the interest of artists with kids. In addition, she has caught the attention of Pioneer DJ Italy, who has chosen Cristina as an ambassador and example for aspiring female DJs.

Ultimately, music is at the core of Cristina Lazic’s life and everything she does. Her aim is to connect with people by making them dance and her sounds range from researched micro house to upbeat, groovy minimal tunes.

Last month, I hosted Atish All Night Los Angeles: a 7 hour open-to-close set in a warehouse. It was one of my best DJ experiences of the last few years, as Atish All Night’s tend to be. I’m sharing a recording of part of the evening, which has a few different flavors of house music. Hope you enjoy!

Thank was my first time at Kowalski in Stuttgart. I heard something about that club before but I didn't expect I would feel myself like a part of it. Very nice and cosy home-style place with sweet friendly and right people. From the first track I knew where to move and how to go. Didn't feel time running so fast.. My first 3,5 hours set in web as well. I am not greedy - there are a lot of tracks you might like. Also there are few unreleased future tracks from my label and some bombs from a friends. All of my favorites and something I didn't play before. I just leave it here - deal with it )
