Raw Main is a multifaceted artist, musician, DJ and sound designer. He is the next artist to hit strong the dancefloors, with numerous releases to come on key labels; planning 2021 and 2022 almost full of releases. Goals to spread his sound all around the world, get to discover new cultures and habits, and later build his own imprint, and his own musical event. He partially takes inspiration from his origins to transcribe his vision of music – which might be ethnic, electronic or belonging to a completely different genre. Whatever the sound is, Raw Main’s purpose is to take you on a trip, for the duration of a track or a whole set. Forget about samples... He’s all about live performances.

Chambord [Abracadabra / Sol Selectas / Happy Camper] - Mix #116

In anticipation of the Scumfrog's 'Collection 2021', released at the end of October, here is the recording of his return to DJing. Recorded in front of a packed dance floor in NYC on September 16th. 

After lockdowns, quarantines, isolations and live streams, The Scumfrog returned to the decks in front of a real crowd for an extended set at the venue where he started MBTS 6 years earlier. For once, he managed to press 'record' on his recorder before he started. Enjoy more than 3 hours of dancing to The Scumfrog's interpretation of post-pandemic boogie.

It's been a while since I uploaded a DJ set ...

Last few times I tried to record a set, always something went wrong, either i never received the recording or the quality wasn't good etc... but this time I have a nice one! yuhuu!

Here's the recording of my 2.5 hours sunset session at Wolvenroedel Presents Zongeluk in Zandvoort, Holland; featuring some of my favorite tracks lately.

DHT Podcast 108 - Mass Digital

I am so grateful to Robot Heart for inviting me to perform this set which was without doubt one of the most memorable experiences of my life. 

A few years ago, I was dancing as the sun rose over Robot Heart in total wonderment, in a state of total inspiration. During lockdown I recalled that feeling and got to work on two albums, Yin, a classical record and Yang an electronic one. 

Writing these two albums was my therapy during the pandemic, dreaming of a day I could connect with people again on the Playa. It’s just so wild, that the fantasy came true in the best way possible and I got to perform this set, transitioning from Yin to Yang with a special arrangement for the Robot Heart Sunset, opening with about 20 minutes of piano and sound bowls before the electronic beats kick in. 

In order to play the piano live here, I had my beloved Steinway sampled into a virtual instrument and it was a real thrill to be able to play with that sound on the playa!

Yin and Yang were recorded in 432 Hz tuning and are musical expressions of my musings about life, the universe and infinite consciousness. 

I’ve always been fascinated by this quote by William Blake, and it was ringing through my mind the whole of the Freeburn week, and especially during this performance. 

He wrote: “If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thro' narrow chinks of his cavern.” 

The view from atop the Robot Heart bus warmed my heart, the doors of perception were being cleansed by the beautiful souls in front of me, and I am infinitely grateful. 🙏🏽

A studio-head in the true sense of the word, YokoO’s last 20 years have seen him master house music in all its deepest forms. With a prolific and impressive discography, YokoO has made his mark on noteworthy labels to date with original releases and a back-catalogue of strong remixes.

He’s turned the heads of many a label boss from Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Matthew Dekay, Lee Burridge, and MANDY, as well as racked up plays from a broad spectrum of industry reference artists. In this quarantine period Rebirth wants to make you feel better sharing another beautiful mixtape of the master Larry Heard.

Larry Heard, born 1960, is a musician widely known for the Chicago house music he produced in the mid-1980s and continues to produce today. 
He was a member of the influential group Fingers, Inc. and has recorded solo under various names, most notably Mr. Fingers. His smooth production style with soulful vocals and long instrumental passages that de-emphasized percussion spearheaded the subgenre known as deep house. One of his first releases was a collaboration with singer Robert Owens, released under the group name ‘Fingers Inc.’. The song ‘Mystery of Love’ instantly became a classic hit, rising to #10 on the Billboard Dance charts. Larry Heard's musical influence can be heard in the songs of countless artists. For those who appreciate warm and passionate compositions, Larry's music is pure magic. He has been blessed with a unique gift that sends listeners into a blissful euphoric state.

Two weeks ago, I finally had a flight to Odessa, Ukraine for a very anticipated gig at Caleton after 5 months without touring. During the last years, I had the chance to play several times in Kyiv and Kharkiv.
I felt great connection with the Ukrainian crowd and I know that a many people in Odessa have been waited to hear me playing there for the first time. When I arrived to Odessa I made a COVID-19 test at the airport and unfortunately, the results came positive. I was very sad from the news, but especially for not being able to play on this occasion for my fans. Due to the positive test, I was forced to be in isolated for 14 days in the hotel room at Odessa. For any person that suffers from panic attacks, like me, It's a really tough experience to be locked in a hotel room in a foreign country without any possibility to get out. I had no other choice but to stay strong and overcome this depressing situation, so I decided to sweeten it a bit by making a special podcast of the tunes I've been listening to during the isolation and helped me get through the days.
Sharing this kind of podcast with almost non-electronic tunes is definitely a new experience for me as are usually used to hearing electronic stuff from me, so I hope that you'll like it too.
In addition, I want to say a big thanks to Slava & Maxim from Eleatics Records, Angelov from Diynamic and to Moti, Markus & Jero my agents for their caring and arranging my stay in Ukraine in the best way possible, I really appreciate it.
