Making music is hard. Creating anything is hard. It’s gratifying, sure, but it comes at a cost no one can fully define. It’s not about the time or energy—it’s something bigger and vaguer, like we’re carving off pieces of ourselves to make something we hope will last longer than we do.

I’m sick of making the days so long. Sick of the indecision, too. Listening back, it sounds fine—better than anything I’d make now—and whatever mistakes there are, I don’t care. It’s not doing anyone any good sitting on my hard drive.

First stop: SoundCloud. Free of barriers. I’ll put all the stems out too—synth presets, project files, anything tied to these tracks. Let people see what it took, because the process never looks as effortless as the result.

It’s not about starting—it’s about knowing when to stop. And sometimes, knowing when to stop means not finishing at all.
