Yesterday

Blu Cedar is an exciting Indie Folk duo! Members Michelle Lockey and Nathan Nasby  joined forces after working together on a  couple of songs for a weekly songwriting contest. They  decided that they sounded really great together, had great chemistry and decided to form Blu Cedar!
"We are really excited to be working together and writing so many songs. The chemistry is just great and we have so many ideas for songs. We aren't going to let 1600 miles get in the way of our success!"  


Blu Cedar attended the TAXI Road Rally this last November and met in person for the first time.  They performed together there and filmed a music video that will be out soon. They were on TAXI TV with Big Little Lions just after the conference ended and talked about the music, how they write together and a bunch of other fun stuff! Blu Cedar will also start an International tour in their home towns this summer and In the fall they will hit LA for a music conference and play around town there as well. Mix in a little  Lumineers, Joshua Radin, Ingrid Michaelson, Erin McCarley, and Matt Nathanson and you get Blu Cedar's smooth Indie Folk vocal blends that everyone will be singing to! 

Michelle (Washington, DC)  is a multi-award winning Singer-Songwriter who performs locally and writes for Film and TV. She has had songs in several shows and recently won Grand Prize in the John Lennon Song Contest. She currently writes and produces songs in her home studio, cranking them out as fast as she can!
