Classic House Sets

I discovered Frankie Knuckles through his music, one that was, gentle, lush with a subdued, understated power that rocked many a dancefloor.
I had the privilege to hear him once in the heyday of his legendary residency at Sound Factory Bar in New York. I was submerged, sonically and emotionally by the beauty of the music I heard that night. I remember very clearly saying to myself that this would be impossible to ever equal.
That was 20 years ago, and I never got to hear this magic combination again.

I got to meet Frankie a few times, and he was always like his music, gentle, humble,   yet naturally imposing

I've put together here some of my favorite music from him. So that his legacy can keep on inspiring other people.

Rest in peace, Frankie, may your music keep on moving people eternally

Future Disco Radio - Episode 020 - Art of Tones Guest Mix

After playing Indianapolis on Thursday, Albuquerque on Friday, and LA on Saturday, I hightailed it back to Chicago to play my residency on Sunday with Michael Serafini & Honey Dijon.  In between doing shots, getting into conversations with random friends & drop-ins, having my ass pinched, doing high kicks with Honey, taking pictures with folks in the booth, a crazy snow machine, general seasonal tomfoolery and other shenanigans, I managed to mix a little.  Let's do it all again next year!

Dan connected with us via Instagram and we've been pinging things back and forth ever since. He's a happy soul, plays very good music and likes to keep a light hearted spin on his musical path. Much needed in a world of cut and paste  tech house, full sleeve tattoos and shit haircuts.
