Fish Shoots Man combine catchy melodies with a lush 80s-vibe guitar-based soundscape. Formed in The Lake District way back in 1982, Paul Byrne & Robin Bevan wrote and performed together in Cumbria and Oxford until 1987 - the year that Rose Paulin (now on backing vocals) was born! The strong Cure/Cocteau Twins/Prefab Sprout/Bauhaus influence is never very far away!

The Last Second (Alarm Clock Mix)

Cover version of the classic Cure track from the dark Trilogy. For a long time I thought the song was based on the poem "Exposure" by Wilfred Owen. Back in 1983, I wrote to Robert Smith to ask him and he said it wasn't! But I still can't listen ot the song without thinking of the First World War. So, my take revisits that interpretation. Hope you like it!
