I haven’t found my person
I haven’t found a job
I want to do forever
So the days are feeling long
But the weeks move quick
Telling me to figure it out 

There’s too much of the month left
For the money in the bank
When I’m running empty
I’ll get a quarter of a tank
Just to get down the road 
To come and go about 

Oh how nice it would be 
If only I could have
A couple of the
Puzzle pieces match
So a section of
The bigger picture could
Be good and done
Then maybe I would
Feel better about life 
With one thing going right 

I don’t want to be here
But I think I am stuck 
Is there a way to move on
Without money and or luck
Cause all I have is time
To offer to my doubts

Oh how nice it would be 
If only I could have
A couple of the
Puzzle pieces match
So a section of
The bigger picture could
Be good and done
Then maybe I would
Feel better about life 
With one thing going right 

Most of my friends are in the same position
Though they pretend their not while they sit and listen
To me ramble on about what I wish was different 
Going back and fourth until they loose interest 
And we settle on a topic of distraction 
Cause someday something’s bound to happen

How can any of us really be ok with the way our civilization is rapidly crumbling at our feet?  Watching the unbridled joy on the faces of those that are the main architects of it's destruction, as they prep, plan and execute freely with no oversight or repercussions whatsoever!  
Am I ok?  Not even a little bit..
