Hi! I'm Pat! I'm a father of 2 awesome kiddos, husband to one of the hardest working stay-at-home moms in the business, and proud owner of multiple online businesses, including The Smart Passive Income Blog and Podcast. Besides "family first", I live by three phrases:

1) Lead by example.
2) Be Honest; and
3) Hold nothing back.

On Smart Passive Income, I build businesses from scratch, try new things and see what works, and what doesn't. I'm don't always do things right the first time, but I will always share my experience so that you can learn from my wins and failures and approach your online business with more knowledge than you had before. 

So many amazing things have happened in my life after getting laid off from the world of architecture in 2008 - I feel like I have to do all I can to give back to this world. There is one thing, however, that I am selfish about - and that's hand-written thank you notes. I collect hand-written thank you notes from my audience. That's what I want, and I always want more, because I know if I get those real letters from real people who I've affected, then I know I'm doing things right.
