As PR.A.DO gears up for our next Festival Não Existe, an EP feels essential to set the mood. The full release arrives on Gop Tun Records this October 10.

Pr.a.do is an absolute master of unexpected perspective. Just when the listener settles into an understanding, this producer—one of the most celebrated names in the new Brazilian scene—grabs the handbrake (while the car is clearly moving at full speed) to reveal a thrilling alternative path.

His history is unique: his foundational influences came directly from his family, specifically DJs Persival and Gustavo Balleste. Since launching his career in 2018, Pr.a.do has consistently demonstrated his genius with acclaimed releases on labels like DSRPTV, Banana Gold , U’re Guay Records, and Nug-Net, not to mention his own successful label and collective, Subliminar Records.

His return to Gop Tun Records is a huge cause for celebration. After all, his 2022 EP, Rea$ons, remains a high-water mark in our discography, and any new venture from this polymath warrants an instant holiday proclamation. Aptly titled “Déjà Vu,” this new collection is built on the same deep, foundational elements of the 90s industrial dance, where driving Analog and FM synths, romplers and old sample CD’s meets the best sweaty dance floor.

Pensamentos mecânicos is the third track on Marcela Dias Sindaco’s third release on the Oklahoma City label Fixed Rhythm, a full-length 2xLP of her characteristically magical electro. You can hear her influences (Detroit techno, kosmische synth travel, electro, etc.), but she distills it all yet again into something completely her own. Hypnotizing electro made on warm machines with her sung/spoken Portuguese woven enchantedly throughout…truly sublime listening.

Reconnecting across continents, Iti and Axon Growth Factor trace their roots back to the hazy inner-city suburbs of Magandjin/Brisbane, where a shared love of hardware led to evening jam sessions after work. Now split between London and Naarm/Melbourne, their new EP rekindles that same spark, capturing the immediacy and warmth of their machine-driven approach.

The opening two tracks, Sleep Pressure and Black Box Society, are the product of those late-night sessions in 2022. Sleep Pressure opens the EP in restrained electro form - layered analogue tones and deep IDM-leaning percussion working in gentle sync. An expression of instinctive jamming under fatigue-softened focus.

Black Box Society lifts the tempo. Anchored by the gritty drum output of the MPC1000 and a classic Ensoniq digital piano, it’s fast and tactile, veering between progressive techno and 2-step. The original session file for this track was unfortunately lost, leaving this raw take as the definitive version.

The EP’s second half sees each artist step out on their own. Square Anywhere is Iti’s solo contribution - a fast-moving cut built on 4x4 garage percussion, bouncy basswork and a restless arpeggiator. Debiasing, from Axon Growth Factor, closes the record with a darker edge - jangled bell melodies, fizzy percussion, and brooding atmospheres all nodding to his signature progressive sound.

The Loon EP by Rubinskee unfolds like a lucid dream — a surreal voyage through shifting moods, hidden meanings, and subconscious awakenings. Each track opens a portal into a distinct emotional landscape, weaving hypnotic rhythms with deep introspection. The journey begins with “The Loon” (ft. DJ Raw), a haunting call from the subconscious — disorienting at first, then transformative once you surrender to its pull. Soos’ XTC Mix elevates this awakening into euphoria, turning chaos into clarity in a moment of pure transcendence. With “Zona Roja,” the listener descends into a feverish groove — a jungle where rhythm devours reason. “El Siguiente Paso” pulses with momentum and resolve, a reminder that evolution demands movement. Finally, “Estás Engañada (Niterói Mix)” closes the trip like a cinematic crossing — nostalgic, unrestrained, and beautifully alive in motion
