Hi, I'm Chelsea Stewart, a singer/songwriter from Gippsland, Australia.

I've been writing songs for as long as I can remember. I didn't really start recording them until around 1997 when I met Aaron Cupples and borrowed his 4 Track recorder.  Since then there have been hundreds of songs created in my mind, body, spirit and soul.

I'm still going through the process of recording them all, but for now I've grouped the recorded ones into playlists.  The playlists order them according to the time in my life they were written. 

In the early 2000's I collaborated with Aaron Cupples to write, perform and produce 'The Land' album, a sentimental folk/pop journey.  Some of my songs were recorded as part of 'The Land' and they have been grouped here as 'Revellarkive'.  Revellarkive is my spirit name!

The songs that make up 'My Culloden' were recorded live by Steve Fraser at Little Gold Studio in Brunswick, Melbourne in the winter of 2007, with a few vocals dubbed over later. The songs capture the emotions of a perceived 'defeat' of the heart, hence the reference to that great defeat of the Jacobites at Culloden in 1746. 

'Romancing The Stoned' was created at the kitchen table whilst living in Brunswick in 2009, using Jane Camilleri's laptop, and Steve Fraser's guitar 'Blackie'. The album tells tales of desire, heartbreak and a bushfire.

'New Holland Rose' is a compilation of traditional folk songs.  The title refers to my ongoing struggle with growing up and living in Australia, whilst feeling that my real home is the United Kingdom and Ireland.

'Alright Stacey' was a time around 2012 when I was struggling  to find meaning in my life, but found comfort in binge drinking and the British comedy, Gavin and Stacey.  I discovered that neither of these things solved my problems, but they made me feel alright, hence the name 'Alright Stacey'.

In 1999, I sang lead vocals on 'Matic Kuhntastic' an album by my brother, Tristan Stewart.

I met Van Walker in the winter of 2008, and I sing back-up vocals on his 'Last Record Store' 'Greetings from Penguin Tasmania', 'Ghosting' and 'Healing Descent' albums.

Tanya Nolan plays guitar, uke, guitjo (hybrid guitar-banjo) and harmonica. Her dusky voice blends with Jane’s to create fabulous harmony. 
Jane Coker grew up in the UK folk scene. Surrounded by harmony singing since she was a kid she has a deep love for songs that can be sung in harmony by as many people as possible! She plays mandolin, clarinet, whistles  and saxophone. 
The duo are particularly fond of bluegrass vocal harmonies with some of their main influences being Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings as well as Lucinda Williams, Tracey Chapman and Traditional Irish, Scots and English music.


Kestral (Castlemaine) has developed his own individual style influenced by Blues, Techno, Ragas and Western Classical music. His complex percussive style of guitar playing utilises modes and pentatonic scales in solo improvisation, creating rhythms using harmonics and string buzz and the use of sweep picking over barre-chords. This artist also makes innovative use of harmonic singing and is interwoven throughout his compositions.
