What can one say about Robot Nipples?  Usually the first thing is “Why do Robot’s have Nipples?”.  Sadly, almost never “How are your Robot’s Nipples?”, but alas… let’s appease the masses for the former philosophical discussion.  Is there some reason a non-biologically reproducing machine needs lactation ducts on their chest?  It’s likely human’s obsession with anthropomorphism despite it’s approach toward the uncanny valley… but, I’m also going to guess that’s not why you’re reading this, are you? 🤖

You’re probably more curious about the DJ that goes by the name “Robot Nipples”.  Well, that is a completely different story altogether…. 🫥

The artist currently known as “Robot Nipples”, has been DJing for over 20 years since the late 1990’s.  Originally playing progressive house and jungle vinyls for festival crowds, warehouse and club floors, as well as shady drug-fueled house-parties. 🫠

His decades long career as a professional musician, audio engineer, recording studio owner and professional advertising photographer has since taken him around the world across several continents, where he’s had the pleasure of sneaking onto a variety of stages with an ever growing collection of music that compliments all corners of life. 😎

Currently he’s based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and owner of not one, but two underground music clubs; ReD CNX and Blacklight CNX.  Although he tries to stay away from performing too often, you can occasionally find him filling in there, and going back to back with some of Thailand’s best underground electronic music talent… but occasionally, clever promotors can find a way to lure him out of hiding where he’ll drop a bombastic audio experience upon the unsuspecting victims… 🤯 I mean attendees…. Yes, that’s it!  Taking the willing “human” attendees on a memorable sonic journey where their feet are likely bruised and blistered due the infectious danceable beats.  Too bad they aren’t robots and can dance for days with no harm to their meatsacks.

The name “Robot Nipples” is more than an homage to the philosophical exploration of sexy android physiques.  So much more… um… yeah… really!  It’s actually a metaphor for the styles of music he prefers to play; a blend of synthetic and organic that combines the best of the broad musical spectrum.  Whether he’s dropping hard acid techno, filthy bass house or psychedelic neurofunk, there is usually an equivically present “human” element of ethereal vocals or exotic analog instruments.  Likewise, the organic house, deep house and other more analog sounding genres often have a decent dose of synthy tech soundscapes that consistently and playfully tease the Robot Nipples theme 😏
