After a hiatus that has afforded Allan Vilhan the time to reflect and reposition his sound, Allan Vilhan’s latest venture, ‘Blue Moon Science’ has certainly been worth the wait. 

Releasing on May 13th, 2022, ‘Tides and…’, the 6-track album sees him fuse elements from Trip Hop, Pop, Downtempo and various electronic styles into a cohesive yet dynamic concoction of moody, vibe-packed electronica.

Blue Moon Science eschews overproduction, instead opting for whatever serves the song. From the emotionally provocative quirkiness of ‘Step Aside (feat Alyssa Jane & Guyku)’ to the ‘90s-esque throwback trance-vibes of ‘Endless Game’, the first two tracks do a phenomenal job of pulling you into Blue Moon Science’s colorfully curated sonic landscape.

As we delve further into “Tides & …”, Blue Moon Science shifts the tempo to brilliant effect. ‘Vidina’ (feat LOTTA) and ‘Times Is Now (feat Chloe Kay)’ dishes out danceability, with the liquid DnB grooves carried beautifully by the beguiling vocal performances of LOTTA and Chloe Kay.
