Blueprint is a blues rock band based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Trying to be a little less obvious about what they play, Blueprint has taken on a blend of old and new influences, mixing their repertoire with tracks ranging from Joe Bonamassa to Johnny Winter, incorporating some lesser known artists such as Oli Brown and Matt Schofield.

All tracks performed by Blueprint and originally written by the original artist highlighted in parenthesis next to each track.

Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo (Johnny Winter)

Blueprint is a blues rock band based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The band “Blueprint” became fully formed in November 2011 when drummer Duncan Clark joined Andy Donald on bass, and Chris Drysdale on guitar and vocals. 
The name Blueprint was borrowed from the Rory Gallagher album of the same name as the music of Gallagher had been a big influence on all three members, and as the band developed, the name gained a second meaning in relation to the way they approach their playing. In some cases their interpretation of a song will be almost exact to the original, while in others cases, the original acts as a “blueprint” on which they put their own mark.
Each member of the band has a comprehensive individual history of performing, which they combine to produce the earthy exciting sounds of Blueprint.
Following their debut gig at a private party in December 2011 the band have worked at bringing their blend of blues rock to the attention of audiences across the central belt of Scotland through performances in established venues such as Bannermans and Whistlebinkies in Edinburgh, The Dreadnought in Bathgate and The Ferry in Glasgow. They also filled a monthly residency  in Stirlings Kilted Kangaroo for 5 months. 
While the music of Blueprint can best be categorised as blues rock, their combined influences and interests have allowed their spectrum of sounds to expand and include some jazz and funk aspects of rock music. Their catalogue now includes tracks covering the A to Z of classic artists; From The Allman Brothers to Led Zeppelin, and Billy Cobham to Frank Zappa. The contemporary artists of today are acknowledged to the same extent, with music by such names as Joe Bonamassa, Matt Schofield and Oli Brown appearing amongst the variety offered each time the band take the stage.
