Tribal Bass is an umbrella term for all music with a downtempo feel and a breaking groove, that combines progressive sound design with organic elements and deep sub-bass. PsyDub, GlitchHop, post dubstep, deep-step, global beats, ethnic trap, world bass, neuro-funk, raga-bass, hard-wave, farmer-trap, ... you name it, if it slaps and it represents the globalized music community it can be part of our co-creation.

For Mabon (the "end of summer" celebration) we'd like to surrender to the water and the West, the cooling down and finding direction, the becoming soft and starting a journey within again, reaching for the stillness and cool down of winter times. "Into The Flow" is a representation of accepting the cycles and flow of life, and understanding the flow of sound, our bodies and nature.
We want to thank everyone for being a part of this and we would already like to welcome you all to the Tribal Bass Bash in Belgium, summer 2023, date and location TBC.

“The Pale Horse” is the 4th and final installment in Bluetech's The 4 Horsemen of the Electrocalypse series. Ranging from dark detroit influenced electro and braindance to IDM and melodic techno explorations, this EP puts an endcap on the analog and modular based releases with the classic sounds of a 303 providing lead duties.

These 4 EPs reference the Biblical bringers of the Apocalypse. Drawing inspiration from the classic fantasy art of Moebius, Beksinki and Syd Mead, “The Pale Horse” dances around eschatological tropes with tongue firmly placed in cheek. Featuring gorgeous artwork from concept designer Justin Totemical, each release in the series will present a facet of the visionary prophetic current. 

“Emerging from a long period of creative drought and personal struggle, I was seeking a way to frame my own experience in a larger meta-narrative. Navigating through loss and painful transformation always feels apocalyptic, so I wanted to take the opportunity to not only frame my heartbreak in a larger context but also to really laugh at myself and experience the high drama of being human with a sense of humor. The Revelations of our little lives feel like the end of everything, and looking out of our windows of meat and bone we feel the ground rumble with the approach of the 4 Horsemen. 

On a larger scale, it’s easy to draw parallels between the realities of modern life and the harbingers of ‘the end’ in John’s symbolic vision of the end of the Roman Empire. We are in the grasp of a dying empire watching the destruction of our biosphere, and yet… every seed must go to ground before new life emerges. 

This series of releases is about watching it all burn with a smile, embracing the death of the self as an act of beauty in order to grow. By aligning my own story and our collective story with a prophetic vision of epic proportions, I was able to to regain my joy and (en)lighten my life.”

The Pale Horse

2 decades after the Millenium, outside the borders of known space, hidden between the lines of Reality. Within the electric sensuousness which captures the imagination of a dreamer, there exists a pure sound. Moving through the alien scapes, until he is content , filtered wave-forms bulge through the compressed tight door giving rise to a BIG sound bent by the wolf's weight of driving melodies.

Emerging from the deep, undiscovered audial lifeforms are discovered giving rise to a modern Oldskool blend of tastiness for your ears. Release, this can be a sanctuary for the chattering mind. Let your Mind rest and your imagination will dance free.

Surging blitzed bass-lines, gurgling glitched up rhythms, other planetary instrumentation and divine SFX run throughout each track, lending itself to a uniquely sculpted soundscape. An important reminder of our short time in this life, 'Cry For Roots' offers a heartfelt glimpse of the olden days but also, hope for what lies beyond the horizon!
