The first mix in a series that explores the percussive heavy, polyrhythmic and syncopated styles of dance music that I obsess over. Percussive Persuasion Vol. 1  warms things up with some global influenced club tunes, then builds up to a rhythmic crescendo of Afro-Portuguese Batida, before winding down with some dreamy Baile Funk. N1GHT W0RK is a DJ, Producer, Curator and Designer based in East Vancouver. 

As a beatmaker, N1GHT W0RK fuses his love for ‘00s Hip Hop and R&B with bass-forward sounds and shuffling rhythms borrowed from his favourite UK music genres. Building on this nostalgia, his DJ mixes weave minimal basslines, emotive melodies, sample chops and bouncing beats into future-forward blends finely tuned for sultry club experiences. 

As a member of Chapel Sound since 2014, N1GHT W0RK has been DJ’ing and organising events at various clubs and DIY venues throughout Vancouver. He recently launched WHEEL UP -- an East Vancouver event series aiming to connect community and like-minded artists who share a common love for bass heavy club music exported from the UK.
